I'm reviewing the Underworld based on my experience on the 12th May 2025, at the Eclipse gig. Myself and my partner are both disabled - one of us uses mobility aids and both of us have invisible disabilities that affect our mobility. I emailed ahead of time to ask about accommodations (that we would need 2 seats, and one companion ticket) and we got that quickly sorted out, and were told we would be on the house list. We turned up, scanned the ticket, and went downstairs (we knew about the stairs ahead of time!) and found our seats. There was only 1, but there was a security guard stationed there who already knew my name and said, not to worry, let me grab you another seat, and he did, immediately! Utterly wonderful. He stood there the entire gig and we had a lovely chat after the show, he made us feel super welcoming, and during the show even - the aircon was broken, my wife and I were sharing a towel, he and the bar staff were handing out free pints of ice water throughout. Absolutely outstanding. I and the rest of the crowd were definitely in need of that hydration and as someone who often forgets to hydrate and suffers severe heat intolerance from it...it made all the difference. Our seats were so close to the stage the different band members stood super close to us at various points throughout. I have never ever felt so safe and taken care of throughout. And the bar! My goodness. Chris at the bar was a lovely chap. The price of 2 pints of lemonade was almost 9 quid but I expect that in London, and there wasn't a queue at all. I really enjoyed my time and if there's another gig at the underworld again, especially an Eclipse one,...

Our team hosted a concert at this venue recently, and what a disaster it turned out to be! Not only did they fail to pay the artist who headlined the show, but they also displayed a shocking lack of professionalism and decency in their dealings with our team.
Despite performing his heart out and bringing in a crowd, this venue has the audacity to withhold payment from the artist for over two months! And when the artist rightfully inquired about his payment, instead of providing a reasonable explanation, they resorted to cursing at him in emails. Even though their venue bookings manager Jon admitted himself in a previous email that their process was "a bit weird" he then proceeds to curse at the artist for having questions confused about the weird process used for payouts....
As if that wasn't enough, the level of unprofessionalism reached new heights when they decided to ban the artist from future performances, all while conveniently ignoring their obligation to compensate him for his hard work.
It's clear that this venue prioritizes their own greed and their pride, over the well-being and fair treatment of the artists who perform there. I urge anyone considering attending events at this venue to think twice and support establishments that respect and value the artists they host. And if you are an event organizer look elsewhere , there are a ton of other great venues in London. Just because the underworld has history, it may not be ran by the best people....
Read moreWe went to Camden Rocks last night for the first time in ages to celebrate New Year's.
Generally a good night out with plenty of rock and indie music. Doors opened at 8pm and closed at 4am. Last entry was at 3:30am, we got in about 12:30am.
Expect pricey drinks (ÂŁ6.30 for a bottle of Desperado, ÂŁ25 for two double vodka and mixers). It gets very busy and the cloakroom was full when we arrived. Luckily I had a bag and they were still taking bags. The cloakroom was ÂŁ3 (cash) per item.
The ladies toilets were pretty disgusting and all ran out of toilet roll really early into the night, but that's to be expected at a rock club and I always take a pack of tissues with me.
It was disappointing to see that the door staff let large groups of guys in - specifically tourists. I saw one girl dancing on her own and two different guys tried to grind against her. She didn't know either of them. I had to tell one who wouldn't leave her alone that if I saw him touch her again I'd get the security guard. He admitted that he didn't know her. Gross! The guys were all standing on the edge of the dancefloor, hovering. Another guy leaned across us at the bar to try to pay for two girls drinks, they tapped before him and quickly escaped. It all felt predatory and not nice at all. Rock clubs always used to be a safe space for women but I noticed the...
