The Wheatsheaf West Wickham — Restaurant in London

I went to a private party and I didn't drink so my rating isn't to do with the service or drinks selection. The toilets weren't too bad. I ended up getting a cab home rather than local bus but the bus stop is a minute from the pub which is handy. Good connection to Croydon or Bromley. No trouble there, I'd go again if there was an event I was interested in, I saw posters up. I'd sit and have a drink as well I felt a friendly vibe...

We had to wait ages to order drinks and even longer to receive them when food arrived asked for vinegar and tomato sauce both arrived halfway through meal. Fish looked as if it had been cooked in old oil,batter was dark brown outside and runny inside. We asked for desert menu but took so long to arrive we had to leave.One member of staff dressed in black like a witch was so miserable she did not smile once to the point she was...

We took my husband's elderly aunt who lives just around the corner, for lunch. She hadn't ever been but as it was walking distance and they were dog friendly, it was our only choice. We were made very welcome, the food and wine were excellent and we had a really lovely visit. The young waitress was delightful. Next time we get a day off and can treat his auntie to lunch, we will definitely be back with our little dog....
