Slowest service in existence and very dangerous for those with allergies! There was no one around, we waited at the counter for at least 10 mins waiting to be served by what looked like an older male manager and young waitress who were filling milk, and taking their time, not paying attention to us, we asked if it was possible to be served after waiting that amount of time, they asked us to give them 2 minutes while they literally stood around either filling the milk painfully slowly (it only takes one to do this) or literally just looking at empty tables and walking slowly towards them, it was very strange and frustrating. Finally when the older gentleman got to me, (no apology, just asked what I wanted) I asked about allergens about the products there, the manager literally, I kid you not, GOOGLED ingredients for general product names like 'eclair' instead of using an allergen folder or menu specific to what they're selling. I was gobsmacked, and said I needed to actually know what was in the product on order to know if it was safe or not to eat. He just said "I don't know", yet I took picture of the sign that says you can ask about allergens. I cannot dissuade ppl enough to not come here if you have any issues with this for your own safety, and even if you don't, the service here is awful and my relative who was with me got 2 shots of espresso instead of the one she asked for, it wasn't hot, and it was expensive. The place was practically empty, there's no excuse for such lack of professionalism and health and safety.

Tiltyard Café, England Tiltyard Café is an excellent spot to relax during a visit to Hampton Court Palace. I went there on a Saturday, a busy day with plenty of visitors, but the café had ample seating to accommodate everyone comfortably. Despite the crowd, it never felt overcrowded, and finding a place to sit was easy. The atmosphere in the café is warm and welcoming, with simple yet elegant décor that provides a calm and relaxing vibe after exploring the vast palace grounds. The menu offers a variety of options, from light snacks to hearty meals. The freshly baked pastries and aromatic coffee are definite highlights that shouldn’t be missed. Even during the weekend rush, the staff were efficient and friendly, ensuring quick service without compromising on quality. This attention to detail made the experience even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a comfortable place to rest and recharge during or after your tour of Hampton Court Palace, Tiltyard Café is a perfect choice. It combines convenience, good food, and excellent service, making it a must-visit part of the experience!

I have to say, when I first reviewed this place, it was HORRENDOUS, staff in tears due to just utter chaos, drinks coming out that didnt seem to be for anyone but crowds waiting, but now things seem to be better, although I came this time at a quiet time. The savoury food in the coffee bar still looks bad. One couple walked over took one look at these "rolls" and commented "they just have horrendous rolls" and walked away. I just don't get it? Why sell overpriced rubbish when you can see it's rubbish so people won't buy it?! It makes no business sense. But queues were not too bad and coffees etc are OK. Cakes look better than a year ago.

So very disappointed in this cafe as we were looking forward to a nice meal. The cafe and most of the food looks lovely but the prices for what you get are disgustingly high. I got 2 plates of chicken and 6 (halved) new potatoes with 1 can of Pepsi max = £28.95. It was swimming in oil too! 3 small Cakes with 3 tiny pots of clotted cream and 2 coffees = £24.95. I had to change one of the cakes (scone) as it'd been most likely sitting out all day and was rock solid. The second one wasn't that much better. My auntie had sausages, chips and peas and ended up with food poisoning from it on our train ride home which was extremely embarrassing for her (it was the Only thing she'd eaten that day). On a different note; there was, who I can only assume, was a male French floor manager who was talking to his staff in an awful manner whilst I, and a few other customers were standing right next to him. He was very condescending and harsh with them and the things he was telling them off for seemed totally unnecessary. Its highly unprofessional to abuse staff ANYWHERE in the workplace but to do it in front of customers is only going to earn him a bad reputation and I'm sure it will have a knock-on effect on the establishment. Based only on this experience, I would never return to this cafe and I hope the "manager"?? is reprimanded and receives some much needed training (and manners). An unpleasant experience for my...

Whenever I visit Hampton Court ( and that is A LOT) I always go here without a doubt. Its light, airy, open, fresh and clean. On a nice day the huge doors are open to a lovely terrace surrounded by trees and to be on the site of Henry Viii's tiltyard is magical. It serves excellent food and drink and the coffee is gorgeous. Lovely cakes. Lovely salad bar (which I can't have as it all contains pulses and I'm dangerously allergic to) but always looks beautiful. Everything is arranged very well. A couple of little downfalls though. One, I bought a child's lunch box and my son didn't finish the grapes until the drive home where he handed me one and it was actually mouldy. Fluffy white mould. Obviously driving home (2hr journey) I'm not going to complain. I will however check them next time and secondly, I have some extremely fussy eaters in my family. Drives me mad when we go out as I'm not but I find here that they hardly find anything they like. Everything is with something or is a strong ingredient. Mustard and ham sandwiches for example. Not plain. They found all the menu was the same and it can be very pricey. I have no complaints personally though and have always found the food cooked beautifully and...
