Nice cafe with a good menu offering lots of options to eat and drink. Would give 3.5 if that were an option.
Can tend to get quite busy, had to wait for about 30 mins or more to get a table on a Sunday afternoon.
Can definitely improve on queue management. Taking down names of guests so they dont have to stand in the queue for the entire duration can be a good move. Also, since I was alone and needed a table for one, they could have offered me one when it emptied up (when it got empty) but they waited till they got to close to my turn in the queue.
Coming to food, the vegetarian Feast was quite nice. I specially loved the way the spinach was done, one of the best I've had as part of English breakfasts throughout UK. The rest of the items in the feast were good too except the vegetarian sausage, didn't quite like that.
Beverage wise, not very satisfied. The caramel Iced cappuccino could do better with more flavor.
Overall, would recommend if you're in the area and will visit again soon to try...
Read moreI was staying nearby at my brother's place inside Limehouse Marina and looking for somewhere to have breakfast, when I found this place. The waitresses are friendly, but the tables are so close together that you are always very near to other diners. My Eggs Benedict and Latte were good, but not the best I've ever had. There is no WiFi.
The following comment relates generally to London, and not to this place specifically. Prices are horrendous. At weekends a service charge is added and my bill for a very simple breakfast was £15.30. Where I live in Thailand this is around 636 Baht and for that amount I can buy breakfast for my family of four. This is no exaggeration. I know it's not fair to compare London to Thailand, but everything in the UK is horrendously expensive.
To sum up, if you're looking for a decent breakfast with friendly service and atmosphere, this place is fine. However, it's...
Read moreSee previous review I have made on this place. Quality of food is now less consistent but still good, got breakfast feast and their halal sausage tasted like quorn, so potentially changed suppliers, asked waitress and she confirmed it wasn’t a mistake, the sausage huge let down on the dish and has shrunk in size.
Farmer burger is still perfect along with . their steaks chips, crispy outside and fluffy inside.
They have seemed to hike up every food item by £2 it seems, kind of prices me out when it’s £15 for a local lunch spot. Cheapest wrap with chips is £10 I think.
Customer service is ok, different staff members it seems, not the usual faces I’m used to.
Make sure to review previous review...
