A great place for both casual drinks/food and daytime work, open from 9am until late—rare for the area. They have an excellent selection of beers (like Purity lager), local stout, and natural wine on tap, plus a great menu of Lucky Chip burgers. Thursdays are the best time to go there to catch the 2-for-1 drinks and cheaper burgers deal. It’s a lively place before West Ham matches (It gets busy, so tourists should take note). It’s dog-friendly, with a relaxed vibe and a young crowd, but still welcoming to everyone. The music is usually at a good level until some weekend evenings when theres a DJ. Only thing that marks it down slightly is the staff’s friendliness can be hit or miss, and the tipping function on the terminal is a pet peeve of mine. Overall, a solid choice for working, socialising, or grabbing drinks in East London in a very relaxed and trendy location.

A delightful venue nestled along the river Lea. We visited on a Friday at around 5pm and were pleasantly surprised to find ample seating still available. The atmosphere is effortlessly laid back, with generous space that accommodates spontaneous visits, though I would still advise arriving early to secure a spot. The drinks selection is impressively broad, catering to all tastes with a diverse array of beers and well balanced cocktails. Our food arrived promptly and each dish was executed with care and confidence. A small but important note: be sure to take your table number when ordering at the bar to avoid any unnecessary back and forth. I look forward to returning.

My story is very simple. We came for a friend's birthday. Had some drinks then ordered food that never arrived. My boyfriend requested a refund and got choked by the security. I apparently bit the guy and if so in #selfedefense but when we were out, the police arrived. Tried to detain us. Me in particular, for standing up to aggressive security. Never received the refund, but instead the threat of being detained. Hail #metpolice and hail #twomoreyears well done and #greatservice regards Hanna x

Two More Years is right on my doorstep so I really wanted it to be great in every way. As it turns out it is really great in most ways, and a major let-down in one.

I love what they have done with the place - they've opened it up and it looks and feels so much more open, airy , light and inviting than in its previous incarnation.

The staff could not be more friendly, the drinks offerings with both beer and wines on tap, are really good, and the burgers - which is what they are about food-wise - are simply awesome.

The desserts though - what are they thinking? There are only 2 - a salted caramel chocolate brownie and a dulce de leche ice cream sandwich. The 'brownie' is a super-dense lump of sort-of-fudgy stuff. No soft, chocolatey gooiness here. In other words - not a brownie in any shape or form, and quite frankly, not very nice. The kitchen said they always serve it like that and have not had complaints (seems unlikely), and that is what it is supposed to be like. I'm assuming they buy them in, because no trained chef would ever make this and call it a brownie.

So having sent that back, I agreed to take the ice cream sandwich as a replacement. Mistake. Should have asked for a refund. These are definitely bought-in as they come wrapped in paper with a label on it that says where they are made. It comes with a spoon, but given that it is solid as a rock, a hammer and chisel would be more useful. Once it had defrosted enough to bite into, the sponge on the outside was soggy and the filling was cloyingly sweet.

So in summary - great ambience, lovely staff, really good drinks choice, truly awesome burgers, desserts an unmitigated disaster. If the owners want to know what a truly awesome brownie should be like, just let me know and I'll make one and...

202311 update Cosy - just what's needed on an unseasonably chilly evening. 9 of us gathered for a pre-Yule drink and burgers and a good time was had by all.

Once again, the friendly teamwork of the staff coupled with good ales, snacks and food made for another memorable evening.
