Umi Sushi — Restaurant in London

When Klaudia, 17, began work at Umi Sushi in Wimbledon she was required to do a week of training (22.5 hours) unpaid. After unsuccessfully attempting to resolve the issue with the owner directly, her union helped Klaudia write a grievance in which she raised issues of unpaid training, failure to provide a contract, and lack of health and safety training. A day after she submitted the grievance, she received a text from her boss informing her that she was being dismissed. Klaudia was also not paid her holiday entitlement. We demand compensation from the owner of Umi Sushi at Wimbledon for her mistreatment, unfair dismissal and lack of paid training and holiday.

I've been here a few times now; the sushi is always fresh and tastes excellent! It's as good as any sushi I've had anywhere else! Chicken katsu curry is also delicious. You may need to wait about 25mins or so for them to make your order if you walk in, but that's because they always make it fresh (if you order beforehand then it'll be ready for you). I have been to Umi Sushi several times now and i'm always so impressed with the quality of sushi. I'm quite picky with sushi and we're so fortunate to have such a high quality and fantastic value restaurant so local.
