My second time here. The first I went alone, a quick visit for a drink or two and a great tasting pizza, before a film. This venue is a fantastic place to visit alone, or as two, even a group. Great to chill out and enjoy an evening of cocktails🍸 or more, tasty pizza choices (though unfortunately the pizza oven was broken this time. That said, it was suggested by manager, that we could bring a pizza in from another restaurant on Venn Street, on this occassion🙂). The live music entertainment May 8th bank holiday, was brilliant... A duo, a female singer with a great sounding voice & a guy on guitar 🎸 who also played well, they complemented each other and the gig was definitely a success! Their regular slot @ Venn Street Records Clapham is a Sunday evening! She got the small crowd in there involved, which was awesome, and makes live music entertainment even better to be a part of. Staff where fantastic... happy, smiling, a great service, exceeding expectations and very accommodating. Thank you ALL for allowing my partner & I to celebrate out 14th anniversary in style, and in a welcoming atmosphere, you helped make it memorable! We enjoyed our night spent @ Venn Street Records. We will definitely be back again soon! 👏😁

Venn Street Records has an incredible atmosphere dark, intimate, and brought to life by the glow of striking red neon lights, which give the space a cool, underground vibe. The energy in the room is electric, yet relaxed, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy live music. The performances were top-notch, with exceptionally talented artists who really know how to captivate the crowd. I had a few of their house cocktails, and they were crafted beautifully a perfect companion to the music and the overall experience. Every sip felt like it belonged to the rhythm of the night. The staff were genuinely friendly, attentive, and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. Whether you're a music lover, a cocktail enthusiast, or just looking for a unique night out, I can't recommend this place enough. Venn Street Records delivers an unforgettable experience, and I will 100% be coming back again.

Venn Street Records is honestly one of those hidden gems you’re glad you stumbled across. The red-light design gives the place such a cool, underground feel ✨ perfect for a night out that’s different from the usual bars. The live gigs bring so much energy, with music playing non-stop and creating the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay all night. The cocktails? Absolutely spot on 🔥creative, full of flavour, and beautifully made. You can tell they put thought into their drinks menu. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a gig, relax with friends, and sip on cocktails that taste way better than most standard bar offerings. If you’re into live music, fun vibes, and a setting that feels both stylish and laid-back, I’d 100% recommend checking out Venn Street Records. Definitely going back ❤️

Went to visit a family member in London and she took 4 of us out this cocktail bar. To be honest the actual cocktails were lovely, the pizza was nice enough. The thing that let this place down massively was the service. When we arrived we were sat by a man that told us there was a set deal for a pizza and cocktail. When the waitress came over she told us that this was not applicable today and that the other guy had got it wrong and we couldn’t have it on a Friday. I did feel her delivery could’ve been better however I stuck up for her to the rest of a table and explained that, being a waitress myself, it is frustrating when other members of staff get it wrong and you have to explain. Anyway, 20 minutes or so goes by, the food comes and we’re all stuffing our faces enjoying it and what happens? The waitress comes back over to take a payment??? Whilst we’re eating??? I was in shock. I would never attempt to take a payment for a guest whilst they were eating, only exception being, if they are in a rush and had asked to pay!! It felt as though they wanted us out the entire time even though there were only 3 other tables in the whole place. Very strange indeed. On top on this when the lady took the payment she didn’t even show us the amount on the screen, I had to wait until after to see how much I’d been charged, which was £4.50 too much from what I’d calculated from the menu. An itemised bill would’ve been a better option so we could actually see what we were paying for. Looking at the rest of our parties payments too, I think we were all slightly overcharged. I understand there was probably a service charge, and that’s fine, especially in London I know this is the norm. However, a breakdown of the bill would’ve saved...

Hello, I genuinely hope this is some helpful feedback because I really like coming to Venn St Records. If covid didn't hit I would have had my birthday party there! Last night (29/07/22), I have never experienced such rude and unfriendly staff anywhere I ever gone out. Also, I have never written a complaint about any business ever, but I felt I had to give you some feedback because I like the place and the experience could be 1000x better. The issues were: The guy looking after the outside area in the waistcoat at 9:40 was telling people to go inside. When I asked why he said that at 10:30 the outside area closes!? He didn't just say this once but every 10 minutes or so for the next hour. And every time it was like we were just really putting him out. The door people have this absurd airlock system. Go in one door, wait in the middle part for the next door to be opened. The guy manning the second door said "quick quick" like I was the one slowing it down. Also, when a girl wanted to push past my friends and I, that however was no problem?? The INCREDIBLY rude barman. He took the drink orders from any women around me until there was no one left to serve and I had been waiting ages and then was looking past me hoping someone else would come until he reluctantly served me. It was loud so I said loudly "a meantime", he very seriously said "what's the magic word?" he said this several times until I understood that he was annoyed I didn't say "please". How incredibly petty!! He was a bigger guy with a...

Went there last night with friends. Sit outside to eat and the waiter said that they not serving food outside (about to close the outside area) and if i can go inside we can order. Fair enough. We go inside kitchen is closed we get told when ordering at the bar counter. Not a first good impression specially with all the great customers service we are seeing after lockdown reopening of hospitality. Ok we get drinks even though they staff serving not even paying attention to me while talking to a friend, they leave the drink far from me with the guy serving on the outside (then she realised she has not given me all the drinks etc..anyway). Then decided to stay for 2nd drink because my friend wanted to stay for another one. Waiting for the waiter for a while then decided to go order at the bar as i did the first time, then bar staff tells me straight "Table service mate". Then i left. People are happy to support hospitality and you should take care of your customer more carefully, this is not pre-covid era. There so many choices in clapham where i live and experienced great service lately. I am willing to support my local restaurants, pubs...but not with that kind of service and attitudes. Just my feedback here and 2 my friends were not impressed too. Things are different now, it is not just back to business you need to rethink your services otherwise you will suffer like many...
