Five Guys Burgers and Fries Clapham — Restaurant in London

Went there yesterday at the end of the day, just before closure. First I ordered a hot dog, but after a long wait I received a double cheeseburger. But the worst was that, while waiting, I picked up 4 peanuts on a paper box and went eating waiting waiting. Suddenly a staff guy came in a very rude and intimidating way telling me loud that I may not eat there. I felt embarrassed as people started looking to me and I was wondering how this could be wrong. The guy insisted loudly that I had to go to the table to eat and eventually justified that this was because people are allergic to peanuts (makes no sense to me that eating on the table is safer than standing but anyway). He then escorted me close to the bin, as if I was going to run or else, to which I complained that it was strange that they offer a food for free but you may not just eat that (I did not see any rules saying you have to at at the table at least) and asked why he was being to agressive, since I never said I was not going to follow what he asked. I just asked why as nothing made sense to me. The staff guy was rude to 2 other people while I was there, acting as if he was the owner of the place and they were making a favour to the customers for letting them be there. In both cases just some KIND guidance would have solved whatever micro problem and no one would have felt upset,...

Best burger in town...Clapham common. The restaurant calm, chilled environment with good vibes the branch filling like being at home.

Freshly prepared burger, of wanted you could see the staff preparing your meal.

I had a small milkshake, a larger burger for someone that doesn't know comes with two burger, a small comes with one. I tried the hot dogs but prefer the burger. Is like a delicious Polish sausage, smocked and crunch and delicious.

You can ask for extra sauce all condiments also complimentary...for me is the best part...you can change everything and have different every time.

You can have a bottle less cup for drinks... there is a self service machine. With many choices, a flavours you can imagine, best to wash down the delicious and massive burger 🍔 😋 👌.

I love the peanuts, you can enjoy while you wait for your meal, is free and complimentary.

The staff is always there to help and Togo the extra mile, I love seeing the team work and the joy in the team having banter and busting jokes, while working hard. It induces your meal with positive energy.

All the managers I meet are lovely, my favourites is a female because she so kind, humble and lovely.

I love how they work with the delivery drivers, uber etc... only good vibes, and such respectful manner.

Love the background music. Amazing staff, super...

Unfortunately I will have to give a bad review to this place. Although I love the food and the majority of the staff are great.

But there one to the staff he around 7’1 - skinny always that wears a quite distinctive glasses,

This guy can’t stop harassing me.

I still don’t understand how someone completely out of his mind can work in a place where he needs to deliver customer service.

Whenever I come to this branch, he keeps around me, once I was eating peanuts and he started cleaning my table and throwing the husks on top of me, I left and change the table, at this time my burger was ready and I left as I could not stand his weird behaviour.

The other time, he was screaming at the drivers and with the staff behind the counter, until he saw me and came around and start pushing me saying I was on the way, I asked him to leave me alone and I was clear with him if he gets closer or physical I would call the police.

I’ve checked the bad reviews there is at least another 5 reviews of people talking about this person, and the company and literally doing nothing.

But I guarantee you Five the next time this person try to get closer to me again, I will call the police and the media.
