Comfortable and inviting vegan-friendly BYOB Vietnamese restaurant, with some standout dishes!
We went for Saturday lunch and immediately liked the decor and the South Korean music in the background. They do BYOB with £4 corkage, but also offer alcohol such as Saigon beer on-site.
We ordered the tofu summer rolls, salt and pepper tofu, tofu pho and Com Vit Chay (vegan duck). The summer rolls were fresh and enjoyable. The vegan duck was sweet and had a succulent texture, but we would have liked a side salad/some more veg on the side. The peanut drizzle was a great accompaniment. The Tofu Pho had fresh toppings, and we appreciated the vegetable broth - though we didn't ask to confirm if it was a homemade broth or not. The salt and pepper tofu was fantastic - a generous portion and generously seasoned.
The Vietnamese coffee was the perfect end - it had notes of caramel and went down a treat.

Read moreHAIR IN MY FOOD!!!! My wife and I have repeatedly dined in over the past month and opted last night to try takeaway for dinner. To my dismay, there was a hair in one of the dishes. Instead of calling, I went the following day to voice my concern to a staff member who then called the manager. The manager asked if I had taken a picture and because I hadn't, he declined to offer any apology or form of compensation. The message the girl onsite relayed to me was a potential discount on my next order.

Just to overstate the obvious you are one of many Vietnamese options. If you feel it is in your best interest to treat customers like you have me, your business will fail. You could of chosen multiple ways to rectify the issue however you choose to insinuate I am lying due to lack of physical evidence, evidence I easily have manufactured if necessary.
Good luck with your Inept management,...
Read moreChef's Night Off? - very poor food [Deliveroo purchase] Tofu summer rolls - tofu fine, kinda dry; roll filling was almost all cabbage with only a bit of harsh mint for the herbage; the sauce - a key component of the dish - was nondescript to the point of almost tasteless. Prawn summer rolls - reasonable amount of prawn; roll filling and sauce provided same as above. Chicken satay - nothing like image; dry; sauce was kind of like baby food with very little flavour/ faintly peanut. Grilled Pork Rice - meat portion size modest; pork was really siney/gristly - as if sliced from pork ribs that had not been cooked to tenderness, half of it was not what you wanted to eat; supplied with more of same summer roll salad (without herbs); rice was ordinary - sorta Basmati OK- but nothing special; sauce was anodyne sweet with no real kick. We always look to support local independent businesses. In this case I...
