Deliveroo Blues: Vlamis, Where Is My Chicken - Did It Fly Away? 🐓 🍗 A tragic tale of a missing meal and a man pushed to the edges
Part 1: To the tune of sadness and soggy fries
Oh Deliveroo guy, you flew too slow, By the time you came, the fries were cold. I dreamed of wrap, juicy and bold, But you gave me sadness… and something old
Tomatoes from Tuesday, a flavourless crime, And that chicken? Missing - not even a sign. Gyros? More like a wrap full of air, I checked every bite… but it wasn’t there.
Part 2: My husband’s despair
My husband sighed, he looked so grim, “This wrap,” he muttered, “is mocking him.” He poked the fries with deep regret, Whispered, “Is this the worst one yet?”
He ranted, paced, then sat back down, Mumbling curses with a royal frown. “Next time,” he cried, “I’ll just eat air!” I feared Deliveroo had wrecked his hair.
Part 3: Toast is my backup plan
So here I sit, hungry and betrayed, With wilted veg and promises decayed. Next time I’ll just make toast instead, At least I won’t be misled.
Part 4: Crying for my chicken 🐓 🍗
Where did you go, my chick delight? Did you fly off into the night? Oh Vlamis, Vlamis, was this your best? Or did my meal fail your quality test?
My chicken’s missing - flew away? Off to a party, or ran astray? Oh Vlamis, Vlamis, is this gourmet? Or just a crime from yesterday?
Left us with sorrow and dismay My man’s gone crazy ain’t okay You owe us peace… and a fresh entrée Please… give me back my chicken

Read moreThe Greek Corner offers a mixed dining experience that lands firmly in “decent but not outstanding” territory. The star of the menu—the gyros—shows promise. The chicken gyro was tender and well-seasoned, with a pleasant char from the grill, while the lamb version had a rich, savory flavor. However, the pita bread was disappointingly dry and lacked the soft, fluffy texture expected of authentic gyros. The accompanying Greek fries were crispy but underseasoned, though a squeeze of lemon helped. The tzatziki sauce was fresh and tangy, but portions were stingy, leaving me rationing it by the end.
Service was friendly yet inconsistent. The staff greeted guests warmly, but during peak hours, orders took longer than expected, and our server seemed stretched thin. The ambiance is casual and family-friendly, though the decor feels a bit dated, with worn booths and dim lighting that could use a refresh.
Prices are reasonable for the portion sizes, though not a steal. While The Greek Corner delivers a passable gyros fix, it doesn’t quite hit the mark for authenticity or memorability. It’s worth a visit if you’re craving Greek food in a pinch, but don’t expect to be wowed. I’d return for a quick meal but wouldn’t go out of my way to...
