I had driven past this place recently and decided to give it a try.
We both had cod & chips.....the cod was nice but I found the batter a little dry at the ends. The portion of chips that came with it for the size of the plate was a little on the light side.
My partner got a side salad which we both enjoyed, and we also got bread and butter, sadly I felt let down by the bread and butter that it wasn't crusty bread but thin sliced pre packed bread and at £1 I thought this was rather expensive.
I got tartare sauce which was delicious and a gherkin.
We both got orange juice which was ok and reasonably priced.
Our meal came to £30 and if I'm honest for fish and chips if I'm honest I expected more for my money.

What has happened to Wickham bay , three times in a row now there has been a problem with the food . First I ordered simply saveloy and chips and they forgot to put the saveloy in second time the chips were just small bits and pieces and it seemed as if they were leftovers from the day before , and last Sunday the cod was yellow rather than white and the cod and the plaice size has shrunk. Is this the demise of what was probably the best fish and chip shop around or are they cutting costs without a care about their regular customers because my sons and my cod was tiny , I was very disappointed and i should have returned it and complained. The DELIGHTFUL HARRIET who served us was professional, kind and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for Harriet to provide us with our delicious lunch ..!!
The children’s meals were GREAT 👍🏻 My son especially loved the fresh hand cut chips he also informed the owners of this ..!!
We had grilled cod which was delicious with chips ..!! All the food was piping hot, fresh and delicious ..!!
I LOVE the decor here with bountiful seating and GREAT food menu selection...!!
This is a GREAT family friendly restaurant on West Wickham high street...!!
