Extremely disappointing. For £16 I only got 12 dumplings – honestly shocking value when a £4 pack from the Chinese supermarket gives you 22, and even those taste better.

The filling had almost no seasoning at all. It was just bland egg and chives, with the chives being tough and chewy.

There was supposed to be prawn, but in the first three dumplings I couldn’t find any – not even a small piece. Each dumpling maybe had a tiny trace of prawn at best, nowhere close to a proper “prawn, egg, and chive” filling. For a moment I thought they had given me the wrong order.

Overall, the flavour, the portion size, and the stingy use of ingredients made this one of the worst dumpling meals I’ve ever had. Definitely not worth the money.

I have been a regular customer here since it opened and seen its deterioration first hand. The quality of the dumplings get worse every time, they used to be amazing.

The greedy nature of this business will see it lose regular customers. They used to give this amazing sweetcorn soup, they stopped that a while ago. And now they have the audacity to try and charge for chilli oil on a takeaway. I'm already paying £1.20 additional for a takeaway. Basic maths and common sense leads me to believe a bag and a takeaway box does not justify an additional charge of £1.20. Just to be charged for a sauce too. Do I eat dumplings dry? They really aren't good enough to be eaten dry.

One star. Terrible experience!

I had a very unpleasant experience at Xi Home in Bang Bang Oriental. I arrived around 30 minutes before closing time and politely asked if they were still open. The staff said yes. But shortly after, a female staff member started yelling at us, saying things like “We’ve been open since 4pm! Why are you only coming now?”

Her tone was rude, aggressive, and completely uncalled for. We were paying customers and did nothing wrong — just came to eat, like everyone else.

This kind of disrespectful and disgusting attitude is unacceptable. I will never go back again, and I strongly recommend others to avoid this place unless you want to be treated badly...
