Since discovering YSP at Tower Bridge a few months ago, it’s become our go-to spot whenever we’re in the area. The pizza has always been consistently uniform, and the service excellent.
So we were excited to find a YSP on West Green Road, which is a bit closer to us. Our first couple of experiences here were good — the pizza tasted similar to the Tower Bridge store, the music (rock) was a great touch, and the team was friendly.
Unfortunately, our last two visits have been underwhelming. The pizza tasted different — too much sauce, slightly bitter, and the base was heavier and soggier than usual. The first time it happened, I put it down to an off day. But it was the same again yesterday, which sullied the experience.
I did notice there was a change in staff — possibly a new chef still getting into the groove. But this branch is a 45-minute drive for us, and if the food isn’t consistently good, it’s hard to justify the trip.
That said, I’ll be back once more — hopefully to find the pizza the way it used to be.

Hi Johnnie,
Thanks for taking the time to reply — I really appreciate it. I’ll drop an email to the address you provided and share a bit more detail about our visits. We've become a fan of what YSP does, so I’d love to see the West Green Road branch back to the high standard we’ve experienced...
Read moreI had the worst experience at this pizza place today. There was this blonde girl with long curly hair and three other staff members just hanging out, completely ignoring me when I was the only customer wanting to buy a takeaway pizza. They literally turned around in the corner and kept chatting while I stood there waiting. I waited, left, came back, and it was the same story - nobody seemed to care. When the girl finally decided to take my order, she didn’t even have the decency to say hi. These people have no business working in hospitality - they clearly don’t give a damn and are just there to collect a paycheck. One of the worst service...
Read moreHave ordered three times total.
The first two times were a single 18" and dough was excessively thin.
We decided to try an experiment for our third order and get two 12" to see if that fixed the dough thickness issue... to our surprise one was good and one was thin!
I've included the photos of both, you can see how one is extremely flaccid compared to the other. Our first two orders were exactly like this.
If they were less stingy on the dough it would be much better as the pizzas seem to...
