All round great experience with great food as I treated the family to a meal out on my mums birthday! A old local legend that has grown over the decades to have a restaurant out the back and side of the old kebab shop. Refurbed in recent times to have a lovely ambience and nice/comfortable/trendy furnishings. The foods as good as I remember and the menu has grown. Ordered a variety of starters to supplement the jumbo platter I ordered and the whole family really enjoyed it all. Our designated waiter was so genuinely courteous and polite, a point I highlighted to the owner when he came round to check on us as we left. Our designated waitress was also really polite. The only star I dropped was because the restaurant serves alcohol which I usually prefer to avoid as a Muslim and unfortunately there was a lady on a nearby table who was getting a little loud from being drunk as she drank her beer but fortunately she left not too long after. Also, parking isn’t available on site, you need to park on roads a few hundred yards away. The complimentary baklava and Turkish tea was a lovely touch at the end and really nice too. Thank you to all the team for a great evening overall!

I would give this restaurant a 5 stars for accommodating us and for the atmosphere. We ate here as a last minute idea for a friend's birthday. We had a dog with us and we weren't sure the place was dog friendly. It wasn't, but the owner suggested that we could tie up the dog in the back and they even offered him a large portion of leftover Shwarma, what a treat for the pup! Then, we ordered food and enjoyed some upbeat music. The food I would say is 4.0 because it was mediocre in flavour. It wasn't the best Turkish food I've had, but the portion size was huge and worth the value. The meat was not as flavourful as I expected and could have used more salt and spices. I did really like the sauces and the starter bread with sauces that they give on the house. They also gave my friend a baklava on the house for her birthday with candles on it! In addition, the owner and service staff was very nice and friendly. We had flowers with us and they gave us a bucket to place them in. All in all, we were very happy with the accommodations they made for us on our last minute birthday gathering and are really thankful to them. 5 stars overall.

Honestly disappointing. We had a bad experience all around. It was a quiet night only 3 tables in total, but we had poor service where even getting the attention of staff took ages. Bad food and a bad time. The quality of the donner is shocking but what was really bad was the chicken wings. Given to us still undercooked and pink in the centre. There was a vein running through and that wasn't a big deal but the chicken around it was very pink. At the end of the meal we let the staff know and he didn't say anything and left. He came back after a few minutes to tell us that the chef says they are fine and he has all these years experience. Even after we asked him for the bill he kept going on about how the chicken was fine and it was very uncomfortable. We didn't want anything more than to let them know but they got very diffensive about it and quite rude. Overall felt like the price wasn't reflective of the amount of food we got, especially compared to the Turkish restaurants in the area.

Update - Finally they seem to have caught up and started serving generous portions. To the point that last night's dinner kept me going til halfway through this morning ;-). Well deserved 5 stars - though still hope they will start serving grilled onions in pomegranate sauce (still one of my favourite bits of any "Mangal" meal) with meat dishes and put more effort into other accompaniments/salads - though they always serve complimentary bread, olives and salsa, which is great.

Original review (3 stars) - Food is very good and service is friendly but portion sizes are on the small size compared to other Turkish restaurants. Anywhere else, if I order a mixed grill, I can normally expect a mini-feast: lots of meat, rice and bread and several types of salad - normally either have another meal leftover or, if with friends, we actually just share one between two, or two between three if hungry. At Yasars, for the same price, you get the one plate, decent portion of meat for one, a bit of rice and a bit of mixed salad, grilled tomato and chilly pepper - no grilled onions in pomegranate sauce (my favourite) and no onions with paprika and parsley. Most importantly, definitely no leftover or sharing it! I find it much better value to order take away from other kebab houses...

A Flavorful Delight at Yasar's Kitchen!

My recent dining experience at Yasar's Kitchen yesterday was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was inviting and the aromas were tantalizing. We ordered the meat platter for two, and it was an explosion of flavors. The meat was incredibly soft and succulent, truly the best I've ever had. The donner kebab was fresh and made from high-quality meat, adding to our delightful meal. The salad was remarkably fresh, making it a perfect complement to the rich flavors of the meat dishes. Our only regret was not ordering more!

A special mention to our waitress, Stephanie, who made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Her top-notch customer service and vibrant energy were infectious. She is truly a gem! Thank you, Stephanie, for your amazing service and for making our visit so memorable. Keep shining! 🙏🏾

I highly encourage everyone to try Yasar's Kitchen if you are in the mood for delightful and fulfilling Turkish cuisine. It's so crucial to show our support for local restaurants!

Our regular spot used to be Gokyzu restaurant, but Yasar’s Kitchen has surpassed it in customer service, taste, and high-quality food, offering great value for money. Yasar’s is now our top choice! We will definitely...
