After a visit to the Heath Robinson Museum we walked around the shops looking for somewhere to have lunch and found this restaurant, which was completely new to us, as is Pinner itself, to be honest.
Italian restaurants are our favourite, and we settled down at our allotted table and chose from an interesting lunch menu.
We went for starters and mains, this time, with a small glass of red wine each and a glass of water.
Everything was well presented and the service was excellent. Attentive without getting in the way of a relaxing lunch. The restaurant was fairly busy and the atmosphere was just about right....a bit of a buzz from other people chatting.
Zaza is a tastefully decorated restaurant where you sit under a huge olive tree, yet you are indoors!! Plants and flowers aplenty with some glass screening to create a bit more intimacy.
All the food was delicious with good servings without feeling over-faced. The wine was lovely. We passed on dessert and just had two coffees.
All in all, a lovely 5-star experience!! Even the toilets were spotlessly clean. I would expect to book here for an evening meal but as Friday lunchtime walk-ins we were impressed and would recommend this...
Read moreWhen a waiter was asking my friend what drink she wanted, she also asked me if I needed more tap water. I refused and she said, "It's free." Her tone felt weird, almost as if she was implying that I didn’t know tap water was free.
It took ten minutes after we finished the starters for someone to clear the empty plates. And then another twenty minutes to get our main after the starters were cleared.
The table next to us was also forgotten. They sat at an empty table for over fifteen minutes before a waiter finally noticed and helped them check out.
The funny thing was that none of my friends or I ordered still water, but it appeared on our bill when we settled the bill. I pointed this out and had to repeat it twice because the waiter seemed not to understand.
I don’t know if this restaurant treats certain customers differently, but both my table and the table next to us happened to be Chinese.
Really bad experience and will...
Read moreVisited Zaza in Pinner for the first time, the restaurant is bigger then it looks. I had the calamari for a starter it was delicious and a very big portion, you could share it especially as I had the lamb shank on mash potato for my main. The lamb was cooked to perfection, so tender and flavoursome. My only suggestion would be the gravy could be served in a small gravy boat/jug as some people would like more gravy. The food was amazing, I would recommend these dishes. My friends had the goats cheese tart for a starter and then one had the grilled chicken salad, which I've previously had at the Ruislip Zaza, good choice. My other friend had the king prawns which looked juicy and she said they tasted delicious. We were all very satisfied with the food and experience we had a very nice bottle of Pinot Girgio wine. I would highly recommend visiting Zaza in Pinner, the staff gave good customer service so a very pleasant evening...
