I have been spending my time during the new year at centre parks in long league and this was one of the restaurants I was very interested in eating at not only because I love Indian food but because of the good reviews I had read previous online
Once you enter the restaurant you are treated with a beautiful and vibrant display of Indian type colours apron the walls also accompanied by two beautiful chandeliers however this couldn’t distract from the quite prominent dirt on both he floors and chairs still impressive non the less.
For my starter I had ordered some tai style wings. Once they came similar to the restaurant itself the presentation was amazing however there meat was slightly dry and the sauce a bit bland.
Things started to turn around once the main course arrived it was 3 beautiful lamp chops presented very well they were moist and well cooked and teaming with flavour. There were accompanied with some nice grilled vegetables. On the side I had ordered some Bombay potatoes which were a bit mushy but still went well with the meal.
One of the highlights of my meal was the lovely garlic naan served with the meal they weren’t to dry and they were thin which is how I like them, very nice.
For the dessert I chose the brownies which were a bit of a let down as they were clearly out of some kind of packet but the ice cream tasted authentic and went well with the dish.
The service was also very impressive with Olivia as our waitress being very good company and clearly had a good level of experience and understanding
As a side note this rating of four stars would be a lot lower had it not been for the lamp chop dish and the good service there is still good room...
Read moreI felt compelled to write a review as we very nearly gave this restaurant a miss due to many dire reviews but thanks to Jack on the sports centre reception, he gave me the confidence to give it a go - and I'm so glad I did.
The staff were lovely from the moment we arrived, without a reservation, they accommodated us within 5 minutes. Choosing from the experience menu, which offers fair value at £24.95 for a 3 course meal, we ordered butter chicken wings, curries advised by our lovely waitress (Megan you were so attentive) which included rice, followed by Indian ice-cream.
It was much much better than I was expecting and upon asking Megan whether the chefs actually have any input into the sauces, she talked me through a little of their commitment. So no, they are not microwave meals, yes they do have flavour, and yes, the chefs (and the wider team) really do care.
I LOVED the extra touch of coconut shavings on my coconut rice and the rose petals on my ice-cream. It was really lovely.
Thank you all, I hope others might follow suit and give you some of the praise you...
