Such a great holiday. You can tell they've been used a lot by different people but not in a way that would put a germophobe (me) on edge. We were in a lovely area close to the water as well, so we got to see a lot of wildlife, including some wild kittens. They were extremely beautiful but very weary of us and would run over when we opened the French doors as if they were awaiting food. We saw 3 in all and a discussion of ducks along with many other species. Lodges are very well equipped and well kept. We had a fantastic time. Very spacious. The ONLY thing I would say is that the children's rooms are the closest to the open plan kitchen, diner and living room which made it hard as a group to put the little ones to sleep in the evening. Ninety minutes of basic tuition and plenty of hands-on 'pra tical'.
As well as the obelisk, you could make a wreath and stars (depending on how quickly you worked) for Xmas (?) or whenever. Some ribbons and other decorative knick knacks where included to further enhance your creations.
Steve was great and showed us how to proceed. The pace was spot on for the mixture of adults and kids.
