Buenos Aires Nights Steakhouse - Maidstone — Restaurant in Maidstone

We went on Saturday for my mum's birthday, it was my first time at the venue but I doubt I would be returning.

The food was lovely and the service was friendly but unfortunately that's where the positives end.

The first negative I want to address is that I'm thankful I didn't go for the starter that 4 people on my table had as one person had ordered the spinach pastry and everyone had to swap around the starters to make sure they had the correct ones, I have a iron efficiency so I can't have spinach or I get really ill, I wasn't asked about any dietary requirements and only saw the allergy and intolerance message in the desert and cocktail menus handed to us after the main. The main meals were served with the steak coming out first and the people who had starters didn't get cutlery to replace the ones used for starters until after everything came out by which time the steaks were just about warm and my partner had to chase up the sauce for my steak as our server had started taking another tables order without checking we had everything. Me and my niece were considering ordering desert so a lovely member of waiting staff brought us over the desert menu but unfortunately we didn't see the original server for about 40 minutes so we just went up to the bar to ask for the bill. My sister then asked for the service charge to be taken off and asked what else could be taken off to which the server apologized and was attentive as possible and went off to find out what could be removed..... sometimes a open kitchen isn't the best especially when you see the chef throw the bill back at the waiter.

All in all, my mum didn't enjoy her birthday meal and we wasn't impressed, especially with the prices as high...

Absolutely perfect valtines meal. We booked online using open table for 17:30 on valentines night.

When we arrived the restaurant was about 50% occupied, we were quickly greeted and given a table.

Service was spot on, drinks arrived quickly and food at the right speed, not too quick or too slow, giving enough time between cources to enjoy ourselves.

We had a bread appetiser, calamari starter, steak platter with chips, mash and blue sauce. The bread was fresh and served with butter and some nice oils. Calamari tasted fresh but the batter did crumble a bit, still nice.

The steak platter we had all steaks rare and they were cooked to perfection, nice and warm in the middle but still cooked rare, these were by far the best steaks I've ever eaten, so much so I won't order a sauce next time. The sides were also delicious, chips were chunky and cooked perfectly and mash tasted fresh (I don't always enjoy mash at a restaurant but love it at home) and wasn't starchy.

For dessert we both had the pancakes with ice cream, I think the ice cream was home made and both were delicious.

My better half also tried some of the cocktails and again these were totally different to the normal bog standard, she ended up having 3. I was driving so had shandy, can't say much about shandy!

Its not the cheapest place to eat but also I've paid more for less quality. This was honest real good food and I felt the price was exactly right. It also doesn't compare to the food you get at chain restaurants so don't compare the price.

Service as I said was perfect, the resurant and toilets were spotless, you can see they serve with pride. We will return!

I have been here for a lovely dinner by Myself , as it’s the last Bank holiday ,so wanted to spend My evening here. As a VERY regular customer, most of the time I order either the chorizo which is amazing or a lovely 7 OZ rib eye is usually My pick. I had a stunning, very tasty steak with a salad as a side choice. Their MAIN MANAGER JAY , is definitely a welcoming person, warm ,always ready , down to earth,energetic, extremely careful with all your choices, double checking everything with the others even when They are busy ,and she makes delicious COCTAILS .I personally think that the food how They serve it is beautiful.I am going to attach one of My photo of the steak what Their Man chef made yesterday. If any problem , they are all open for solutions,and They are good listeners! One of the many reasons I love to come here ,that I can feel safe.anytime if guys sits close to My table,and I had to go to the restroom,said to the Manager to watch my drink- My drink was safe all times ! They also ask everyone if everything is ok and u feel good .so U definitely can lay back and enjoy some good nights in here.
