Im not quite sure what went wrong but this used to be one of my favourite pubs i would go in at least once a month. The food was pretty decent but service was actually shocking. I had added strawberries as part of the extra to my crumble and pressed the serve desert later option. Why the heck would they give me the strawberries with my pizza, not once but TWICE!!. Are there robots working there or what?? Not sure why there was onion skin over my nachos. There was someone checking over tables every 20 mins so took ages to get our deserts. And when i finally got it half of the plate was warm the other half was so flipping burning i am still pealing skin of my the roof of my palet. No warning of it being hot, but when i was eating the warm part i actually wasn’t expecting the other half to burn me like that.
new edit: almost a year later the service is just as shocking. went there for just a desert; cookie brownie and ice cream. when it came I thought something was wrong. there was no ice-cream. which with how sweet the brownie is its the only way to really enjoy it. when we told a waitress she told us they didn't have any. like... why not tell us rather than just serve it to us like that!! when we asked if we could have any other side instead she had the audacity to tell us we had to pay for it. these people have the mental capacity of 2 y/old....

Sometime it can be hard to find a table to eat (100 plus tables available), but that determines how good value for money on basic pub grub the place is (example: an extra 6oz beef burger just a mere £1:45p) ! 🤗. Service time was a bit slow, but then in all fairness it was during a peak period..
Updated 20/08/2022.
Saturday lunchtime, and the place was about 75%full. Bar counter service was slow (not enough staff on). Had to ask for a cloth to wipe down the availabile table before I could eat because it was Mucky. Noticed that the real Ale selection had increased by 10% since the beginning of the week. So I asked the Guy who was serving me "When did beer go up?" To which the reply came "I'm not sure" 🤔 (I was last in a Wetherspoons only 4 days previously) 🤗 Never mind, but do watch out for a big promotion Day (around the first week in September) For One Day Only they are reducing everything by 7.5% for 24hrs. - in protest to the 20% VAT leveld on them, Food items . My quick calculation says Hey let's Increase our beer prices by 10% then promote a "Special Day reduction" of 7.5% By my deduction their still 2,5% up on the deal. Guess that's clever...

This restaurant has an incredible design that sets it apart from other establishments in the area. The staff are also incredibly friendly and welcoming, which adds to the overall experience.
The restaurant itself was quite clean, which was definitely a plus. However, I couldn't help but notice the ceiling, which appeared to have sustained rain damage. While it didn't detract too much from the overall atmosphere, it's certainly something that should be addressed.
As for the food, I was quite impressed. While it did take a little longer than expected for my meal to arrive, it was definitely worth the wait. The dishes were piping hot and freshly made, and the flavours were quite good.
All in all, this Wheterspoon in the city center of Maidstone is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. While there are some areas that could use improvement (like the ceiling), the food and atmosphere with the incredible decorations make up for...
