For take away asked for a Nashville burger meal and chicken deluxe burger meal with a half cookie monster waffle
I had checked the receipt when i got home and noticed i had been charged a lot more than i had expected and I also received an LA burger when i ordered the Nashville, the LA burger isn't even displayed on the menu.
Upon calling the place to discuss being charged extra for the meal, i was told that archies no longer do the set meal price anymore (which is shown on the menu online), which is fair enough, however this was not outlined to me when i made my order, which you would think to be good manners to explain to a customer that what they are asking for is not available anymore so they can make an informed decision.
When complaining about receiving the wrong burger the person stated that i had asked for an LA burger straight away which isnt even on the menu while i had asked for a nachville, upon repeating i was interrupted and told i asked for an LA burger which is incorrect.
The person on the phone was not even the person i had ordered from. This is incredibly poor customer service and just rude, the food is ok, the prices are expensive but avoid due to the awful customer service.
Also update the online official menu on the website as still a discrepancy of a few pounds for some items!!!! (unless I was charged extra for...
Read moreScammers. Avoid this place. They are advertising a false menu with false prices. According to the manager the menu was changed 6 months ago and they refuse to change the signs. I ordered 3 Chargrilled burgers (£4.49) and the receipt came back with Stargrilled (£6.99). This burger is not even on the menu. After checking the receipt I complained straightaway before the food arrived and they said that they don't process refunds. I then had to wait over half an hour to speak to the manager Jordan, who said that they don't give refunds and he said regulars would know about the menu change (I don't even live in Manchester!) and then began to defend the decision to leave up false prices and menus! I'm sure lots of other people have been ripped off by this place. I reasonably asked for either a full refund and return the food, or the difference from what I actually ordered, but was flatly refused. I asked for them to return the receipt and said I would wait inside the store (as they had completely lost the trust at this point) and my friend and I were then pushed out of the shop by security as they said the shop closed. My order was at 9.26pm and the place closes at 10pm. They then waited another 10 minutes and returned my receipt. This was some of worst management I had ever experienced. The manager Jordan needs retraining and an...
Read moreOld Archies customer here that first ate their burgers from the original shop near Oxford road station. Went to Archies first time tonight since before covid. With so many different burger places available in Manchester this place had become one of the places we forgot about and mainly because they used to charge a lot more than other places for an average burger. I’ve always seen Archies packed out in the past with queues out the door but the past 2 times I’ve gone past it’s been quiet. I understand why now!Had the shock of my life today! 2 burgers with 2 curly fries and 2 drinks (in those pathetic cups trying to imitate Starbucks that leaked in the car all the way home!) cost me just over £33 ! What a complete rip off for a generic chicken burger (that other places do 10 times better) and a big daddy burger. So much money for such little food which was by the way, cold…and I see that’s a common complaint. I know there’s a cost of living crisis going on but you don’t need to fleece customers. Are you, the owners passing on the costs of opening your other shops onto the customer? Pure greed on the owners part and I for one will definitely not be going back. Nothing nice to say about the food and I 100% don’t...
