Where's my food was great i really loved it, my friends wasn't. Her was missing bacon, hashbrows and cheddar cheese. Thus from her it's 3 stars. Im knocking one off too because i had to listen all about it. 😂🤦But staff (some of them) was wearing masks and that a massive plus.
Had great beer made locally with a hint of citrus and pineapple. Nice, cloudy hazel drink which was fantastic. Refreshing, with great taste thats stays with you for a long time.
To eat I've ordered Patriot burger which turned out to be stabbed so it doesn't fall over. Erm... How about long cocktail sticks instead? Dont get me wrong, it does look rather great but... Well once you take knife out of it its just falling over. Great idea, rather bad execution.
Taste wise it was ok ish? Difficult to grab amd have a bite (yes i know im a caveman eating burger with hands rather than use fork and knife) but on e you get it around its ok. If i woehave to pick up something i didn't like there its salad that felt as it was left from yesterday. Started to become bit brown on the edges and was slowly loosing flavours.
Chips where great, even if it was so small of them you'll still be filled with burger. And whoever came with idea of serving them in that metal cup... Can i hug you?! Remind me me of goodnold days back in my tiny village when i used to drink cuppa tea from mug just like that! Thanks. 💚
But then there's also not so good news. We where told that sauces are on the table if we want them. Only to find out that ketchup was running out. And it was barely enough for one person to use. Juat to one small tiny amount on each chips.
Another thing was as i mentioned before lack of bacon, cheddar cheese and hashbrow on my gf burger. It was on the menu what burger is made off and it was lacking some if the addons. We weren't told that kitchen has run out of it. Which would be fine as she would either order something else or there would be no complaints.
Also question to whom goes thwre regularly. In every restaurant, pub serving food i was always approached at some point by one of the staff asking is everything alright. That didn't happened here. They weren't busy so just want to know is it how...
Read moreHaving frequented BrewDog in other cities, I was expecting a similar experience at the Manchester location. However, my visit did not meet these expectations and left me considerably disappointed.
Upon entering, the place didn't seem well-maintained. Unkempt seating areas and unattended tables were a common sight, leaving an unappetising impression. Cleanliness, I believe, is a fundamental aspect that every dining and drinking establishment should uphold, irrespective of their focus area, be it craft beer or otherwise. Unfortunately, BrewDog Manchester fell short in this regard.
The state of the gents toilets further underscored this lack of attention to hygiene and maintenance. The condition they were in was not just off-putting but unacceptable for an establishment of BrewDog's stature.
When it came to their renowned craft beer, the experience was far from seamless. Despite the premium pricing, there were limitations on the beer selection due to certain options not being available on their app, presumably because they were out of stock. This was frustrating as it restricted the variety of beers we were looking forward to trying.
The food service didn't do much to improve the situation. Our order included wings to be shared amongst two people, yet we received just three wings. Dividing an odd number of wings between two people posed a needless and inconvenient challenge that fell far short of our expectations.
Compounding these issues was the lackluster customer service. The staff seemed disengaged and indifferent to our needs, making us feel more like an afterthought than valued customers. In a hospitality setting, this level of disregard from the staff is simply not acceptable.
In summary, while I have enjoyed BrewDog in other locations, the Manchester branch left a lot to be desired. The potential is there, but significant improvement is needed across the board, especially in the realms of cleanliness, customer service, and ensuring the availability of their listed beers. It is my hope that BrewDog takes this feedback into consideration for the benefit of...
Read moreDisappointed! Safe to say that the drink we were first served was the worst we had for the whole day. (and we had been in a train station bar) Asked for a Wingman and was given a flat and not very chilled drink! We were then informed that we would not be able to order food for 90 minutes due to an event. While I understand that places do take bookings for large parties and events, why allow me to book for food at a time on the website and be told different when we get there? Thankfully the place does have a massive variety of drinks which we went on to sample. (Which was very good and what we expected from the website and stories we had been told) We then were allowed to order food after being there for nearly 2 hours. Which the colleague did give great service when ordering. The food was prompt, but we ordered 2 burgers and loaded fries to share. The burgers came without issue (and we're very good, hence the 4 star rating) but were told there was a wait on the fries. 20 minutes later still nothing. We were told it was due to the chef dropping them! We then left it another 15 minutes but then had to leave due to other planned activities. We went to pay the tab and the guy behind the bar then had the audacity to say they were removing the charge for the fries as a gesture of goodwill for the wait!!! Why would I pay for something I never received?! Overall there were good parts to the bar and on another day it may be fantastic, although our visit was far from that and if it wasn't for a couple of good colleagues and the food that we actually received. It would have...
