This place has gone down hill. I am really disappointed.

I had been eating here since July, at least twice a week and I stopped at the end of November because the lack of interest in customer service or culinary services is a joke.

The prices for food have been increased but the quality has decreased.

First of all, I paid £7.50 for a jacket potato with cheese and beans!? This road is a university strip with over 80'000 students from both UoM and MMU walking along the street daily. The price hike is disgusting. Especially when we know that across road at the Green House Cafe, the same meal is for £3.50.

Second of all, it was such a small portion and it was only 3/4 of the potato. What's that about?

Third of all, it looked sloppy. In all honesty, if you're going to charge City prices, then the presentation better match it! It did not. It looked worse that some school dinners we've all had.

Finally, when I brought this up with a waitress, I got an eye roll and told that this is how the jacket potatoes are served. Well no they aren't considering I have been eating the same dish (jacket potato with cheese and beans) twice a week since July!?.

Avoid at all costs, it's not worth the hype. Especially if you've got a large party, it's a money...

Let's start with the positives the member of staff who served me was polite, efficient, and cheerful. We got a table without a wait even at a busy shool holiday lunchtime. The place was well lit and clean. Here's the downside, the food, which was all prepacked sandwiches and wraps. No non veggie options that I could see, which is fine except that my cheese sandwich was the single most uninteresting thing I've eaten in decades. Dry bread as in dry with no butter or spread on it, with flavourless cheese. The coffee was ok though. We had kids with us that have a dairy intolerance there were dairy free option but not really kid friendly ones. The cakes looked OK, but I don't eat cake, so I couldn't comment further. Pricing would have been good if the quality had been there. Overall a good location and good staff let down by a...

Arrived early for breakfast, as according to their website and other social media outlets they were open from 8am. I wasn't alone, there were a handful of others also waiting and we could see staff inside pottering about. A few minutes after 8am a staff member popped her head out of the door asking what we were doing and advised that they only open from 9am over the summer. We pointed out that it doesn't say that on their website or elsewhere, and they just shrugged their shoulders and said they would have to get that sorted out.

Its particularly disappointing as there aren't many places to get a decent breakfast from 8am around the University area over the summer, so it seems strange for them not to try to take...

Really impressed and will visit again. A huge selection of vegetarian meals for myself and my young child. I had the burrito and its the best ive had in a long time! So full of good tasting, fresh food. The coffee was the best I've had in a long time too, coffee beans and oat milk NOT burnt - which is what i usually get from anywhere else i order, so I really enjoyed it. The children's menu is great so many veggie options for my baby and the food and portion size was great for the price. The staff were lovely and helpful, on the ball and just generally pleasant. Place was immaculately clean even on a super busy afternoon. So impressed I will be visiting again.

I love visiting here for the £3.95 breakfast meal deal - it’s great value for money in my opinion! The staff are all really lovely and friendly (and even make these cool coffees!). It can also be a good place to do a quick bit of work as there are some tables with plugs, looking out onto the street which creates a nice working atmosphere, though it can get busy. The pastry’s and barms are really nice, and the coffee is always served nice and hot too! ☺️ A good light cozy spot with a very friendly atmosphere.
