The University of Manchester is one of the most appalling institutions I have come across. I am currently sitting my 5th year. This is due to little to zero regard for DASS students. And the incredibly poor student services. I am sitting a module I have already taken, with the same essays and exams that I have been told I am not allowed to self plaigarise. A year 2 module that I took 2 years ago. The reason I am sitting this is because they completely forgot to enroll me in a semester 1 module that they told me I would be sitting in semester 2. I only found this out after dozens of my emails asking for them to enroll me were ignored. Not only this but I now have to volunteer in the department to gain points towards my degree. I had completed all my year 2 modules and had mitigating circumstances that were misunderstood and now I am paying out of my own pocket for my tuition. The letters i provided from doctors were not enough and I have had to resit things I have completed the work for but they would not accept it due to THEIR mistakes. My doctor's letters had to be written withing a weeks timeline and they would only be accepted if they fit with these specific dates. Yet I have an ongoing illness and am with DASS. They do not care about students and only seem to reply to your emails when there is money involved. It is a shame as the professors and students are lovely and hard working. They are the only thing keeping this...
