We came in for breakfast whilst visiting Manchester for the day. It was busy but there was a table available for us to sit down at but the table had not been reset from the previous customers but the waiter came straight away and cleaned the table for us which was great. We then ordered 2 large breakfasts and a coffee, the coffee was great but I had ordered a latte with syrup and it tasted like there was definitely no syrup in which you pay extra for. We proceeded to wait 40+ minutes for our food with another table experiencing the same. However, tables who had came in after us and we had sat down and ordered before them were being served their food before us which caused a few concerning looks around from other tables who had been waiting longer than us for food. After the long wait we were served our food and the waiter apologised for the long wait which was great. Both of our breakfasts were lukewarm with the sausages being the only close thing to hot, the mushrooms and beans were cold and the toast had only been slightly toasted on one side. I went to get sauces from the sauce sachet pot on the table and found empty packets of sauces in the pot and the napkins wrapped in the cutlery had been used as there were stains. Overall it was a very poor experience and we were left very disappointed and felt like we had both waisted our money on the breakfast which was pricey for what you got. Definitely won’t...
Read moreThis wasn’t our first time in coffee lab but we always had a good experience coming in here but after today, we are no longer coming here. The girl with black hair in the ponytail at the front of the till did not greet us or made us feel welcomed when we went to order. She had also forgot to put one of our orders in and came to tell us we didn’t order two fry’s only one so we went to order again. I had ordered the sweet french toast, I got this last time but it was a lot nicer and bigger last time with more fruits. This time, I got about 3 whole strawberries (all cut up including the top of the strawberry) and a lot of blueberries. There was no chocolate sauce unlike last time which made it a lot tastier which made me want to come back. The French toast this time was not nice. We had also ordered a small English fry that was cold in about 5 minutes of being on our table when we waited for 15 minutes when we were the only ones who came in (there were others but they were before us). On the menu it said there were no mushrooms but we got mushrooms on both plates. In the beans there was a bit of plastic maybe from the packaging and threw us off and didn’t finish our food. We had always came here maybe once every 2 weeks and always enjoyed coming here for the food but the food doesn’t taste as...
Read moreThis was a really unexpected find. We were in Manchester for the weekend taking the grandkids to Old Trafford for the first time and we needed some lunch on the Friday. This place popped up in front of us and we decided to give it a try. They were serving really tasty home made Mushroom soup. The following morning, with all the family in tow, we gave it another go. Eggs were done really well. I opted for the scrambled eggs and salmon on toast with a side order of bacon - the latter was a waste of money given the quantity and quality of the meal made the addition irrelevant. Son in law was bravew enough to try the BIG breakfast and he just about finished it. The grandkids opted for waffles with chocolate but one portion was too much between the two of them. On our final morining in Manchester my lady and I returned. The welcome was just as friendly and the food just as good. Great staff, great food at good prices and some seriouisly nice coffee at prices lower than we pay down in Cornwall,...
