Walked in to this shop as wanted a nice coffee before my flight, got greeted by Adriane (i think her name was), who started making a scene because we had come to the counter for us all because two of us were ordering drinks and paying together, then she tried to tell us to order separately and automatically made us pay separately aswell, then started telling us off saying what we were doing was wrong. Then continued to laugh at my sister after she asked for coconut milk as she’s dairy intolerant. Then she came back after making our two drinks SEPARATELY (after asking for our drinks to be the same at the same time). She then comes back and has a go at us again for ordering together, telling us we should have ordered separately, despite us wanting us to pay together. She made us feel humiliated, as loads of people around us, just because we wanted to pay together for our drinks, but she was adamant about us paying separately. Then mentioned how they are loosing money if we order together? The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Do not recommend! Read moreMy experience at Costa coffee was horrible today 23 August 2022 at about 4pm I qued for ages that's no problem but very slow at serving and getting through people. I finally got to the till and wanted a cake to my disbelief the cakes where crawling with flies I saw the girl beside me make a face like she was going to barf! It was a mutal understanding anyway I opted for a sandwich instead something wrapped in plastic. I ordered a hot chocolate and a latte off the women serving I saw her making a latte and what looked like a Americano. I said to her is that hot chocolate she said no you asked for latte and Americano I said I didn't I don't even drink that so why would I ask for it she had a rotten attitude all most sausy like she didn't want to be there. She reluctantly made another one So I sat down with my hot chocolate and sandwich and a different girl started shouting where closing get out. Read moreThis regretably is another example of a team.with weak.or no leadership . I noticed an add for a teamleader posted in the seating area. So the place has 3 tills 2 of which were operating . The staff were wandering around like tomorrow will do. People here are getting refreshment whilst taking 2nd glances at flight information i would contend that prompt service would be appreciated. Now to balance this review i would state that Manchester Airport , whilst it never moves, is difficult to get to at say 3am when staff need to be in the off site car parks to get service buses and through security . This can lead to staff turn over as working at the airport in any capacity is not an easy or glamourous gig. Someone in charge needs to address staffing and turn customer over quicker. In catering turning covers and takeaway trade is profit . Costa Coffee is afterall a "Fastfood model" .. Goodluck...
