Visited last minute for a late valentine's day meal. Not very romantic some may say but the massive mehaberawi that we shared was just perfect!!! We stuffed ourselves silly with all the deliciousness and took leftovers home for next day's lunch. The two ladies who served us were very courteous and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to friends. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you!

I'm a customer of the kershado restaurant . A warm and inviting atmosphere with traditional Ethiopian decor includes handwoven, and the food was exceptional it was a delicious, traditional Ethiopia coffee ceremony performed upon request Can't wait to come back again soon."

I love to dine in or takeaway from this family run restaurant. Authentic Ethiopian cuisine and excellent customer service. The music and decor gives you just a little more introduction to the Eastern culture.

Terrible Customer Service Overshadowed the Entire Experience

I’ve been to this restaurant before and always appreciated the food, but after what happened today, I don’t see myself coming back unless there are serious changes—especially in how they treat their customers.

We were seated and given a menu, but no one came over to take our order. The staff member serving us seemed completely uninterested in acknowledging us. Then, when a group of white customers walked in, she immediately turned her attention to them. Without saying a word, she came over and took our menu away—again, without any explanation or even basic courtesy.

It was shocking and incredibly disrespectful. We felt completely disregarded and as if we didn’t matter compared to the new customers who had just arrived. There was no eye contact, no apology, no attempt to explain—just silence and dismissal. It made the entire experience feel personal and discriminatory.

Despite how we were treated, we decided to stay because we were hungry and had always had good meals here in the past. But even the food let us down today—the meat was undercooked and lacked the quality we were used to.

It’s really disappointing to see a restaurant with good food fall so far short when it comes to basic hospitality and professionalism. Good food isn’t enough if people are made to feel unwelcome or invisible. We won’t be returning unless there’s a clear change in how they treat all their customers—with fairness, respect,...

The setting is humble but well decorated, and the restaurant in an area that is not typically where you'd expect arestaurant. However, the food is absolutely délicieux, with a well-balanced spiciness. My dish was bursting with flavour, and with a great texture, served on a tasty sour injera (think roughly a supple, dosa sized, 2 mm-thin crumpet). The coffee, as expected (after all ethipia has the best coffee in the world) was also excellent. It was a very satisfying meal all around. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful, and the price very reasonable. Unfortunately, I did not take a photo of the food as I forgot, too pressed to get stuck in. I can assure you, it looked beautiful. Also, a large section of the menu is vegetarian/vegan. This was for an evening meal on a Saturday night. There were still free tables but also a few tables and the restaurant was calm but lively.. There were music videos playing from a TV in the background, but at no time noise...

I came a little while ago as the reviews were all great, ordered the vegan platter, confirmed it was vegan, and noticed something odd in one of the currys. Asked the waitress to check and the chef had put chicken in. No apologies, no replacement, still had to pay the full price for being served chicken in a vegan platter. I'll never return and wouldn't recommend going if you don't mind eating meat...
