Low quality milk tea, staff are immature and lack trainning on customer service
I thought this would be similar as the other gong cha places, but whoever franchised this one clearly doesnt know the product. I went in today, there was a lot on the menu but didnt have the most basic things like jasmine green milk tea or a normal matcha tea. i noticed they had brown sugar pearl so i tried to order this with a normal milk tea. however this wasnt allowed? they only did that "BS pearl with milk" or a "brown sugar milk tea" with normal pearl topping. Apparantly getting "brown sugar pearl" as a topping was not allowed for anyother drinks except for milk??? what am I, a child that only drinks milk xD fair enough if my server was new and didnt know how to customise drinks at the till but he told me "we cant customise your drink"...I told him that "but thats the whole point of choosing sugar level, even ice amount". to which he then replied with "If I change it for you then id have to do it for everyone else" like everyone else would order this drink. and if thats the case then surely youd sell more that way.
Also I kept stating that my drinks were hot but the server still put them down as cold. I had to continously correct him during the order process, which adds on to the point that the server was not up to working today
my customer experience was poor, the server's attitude was that of a "cant be bothered" teenager. reading the other reviews it seems like the staff at this place could use higher standards.
The taste of the tea themselves...also poor. I had a taro milk tea which came pipping hot, lacked any flavour . definitely needed a scoop more of that taro powder. My other drink "milk tea" was luke warm - need to top up some hot water in...

I ordered the chocolate milk tea and signature brown sugar tea at Gong Cha on Market Street. The chocolate milk tea had a smooth and velvety texture, with just the right balance of chocolate flavor and the creaminess of the milk. It was a true treat for chocolate lovers. As for the signature brown sugar tea, the deep, caramel-like sweetness of the brown sugar perfectly complemented the robust tea base, creating a harmonious and addictive combination. The drinks were expertly crafted, showcasing Gong Cha's commitment to using high-quality ingredients. Whether you have a sweet tooth or prefer a more traditional tea flavor, Gong Cha on Market Street has something to delight...
Read moreRude blond woman behind the counter who rudely interjected into a conversation I was having with my son about cash Vs card payment. Drink was expensive, the mango 'pearls' were tasteless blobs of jelly, to the point my son asked to go back and see if he'd been given the wrong drink. Same blonde woman looked at us and did her best to ignore us. After five minutes I finally got her attttention to ask about the drink and she snapped at us that it was right as she'd made it (she hadn't, we saw her colleague make it). I asked about the 'pearls' and got a sigh and a lary "I'll go get the boss". He came through, she pointed, said "Her!" The boss said the drink was right. I pointed out that I thought he'd been given the wrong 'pearls' and was told "nope". I pointed out the jelly had no taste (to be fair, the tea wasn't much better), which was met with a shrug. No offer to remake, just we've had your money, see you. We've had bubble tea in hundreds of places, some good, some great, but none as all round awful as...
