Went to Archie’s yesterday and waited ages to be served as there is no WiFi anywhere near and mine and my mums phones both had no signal, seemed like lots of people had the same problem because the queue was long! Then when I did get served we waited a long time to get our food, for somewhere that’s fast food I was surprised how long it took. When it came once again (as it was a couple of weeks ago at the Archie’s by Piccadilly station) the food was cold. The chips were icy cold and the chicken was luke warm. I sent back the chips only even though I should have sent the chicken back too but there was some warmth in it at least. The man looked confused and just went away with them without a word. We’d finished our chicken by the time we got a fresh batch of chips so it was like having 2 separate courses. Also I paid extra for the peri peri salted chips, the top 5 chips had some on and the rest are in the photo I’ve added, they were just plain chips! What a waste! I can’t believe 2/3 times I’ve been to Archie’s the food has been inedibly cold. I love the peri peri chicken tenders and I keep coming back because of them but the food being hot is something that needs to be fixed.

Fabulous restaurant. Food is fresh and very filling, the milkshakes are the best I've ever had, and the hotdog I ordered with crinkle fries was delicious. The decor and seating arrangements felt like I was in a sort of American Diner. I love the concept of famous people creating their own signature Shakes, it would have been good if the menu had a picture of the celebrity with their shake. The food came at a decent time after ordering and the area was relatively clean when we got there.. The menu was a little sticky though 😕. I wish there were more napkins given when the food arrived, and perhaps some plastic cutlery too? My hotdog came with fried mushrooms that slid off with the hot cheese... I picked them out of the container the hotdog came in but I definately needed some extra napkins or a handy wipe afterwards (maybe the previous customer had the same issue hence the sticky menu!) All in all I was very impressed with Archies. It is definately more than your usual burger joint!!

2.5 out of 5 An overrated burger and shake joint that's in desperate need of revamp. The customer service here is the only thing worse than some of the food served. With that being said, for a more in depth review, please see the points below, starting with the The Good: Great location? Place was fairly clean The Bad: Overpriced food The food was fairly expensive, a box of 10 wings cost £10 - that's £1 for each small wing Small food portions The food was average at best, nothing to write home about. 18 minutes for shake to be served 24 minutes for burgers and chicken wings to be served (This was during OFF PEAK hours (16:10)) 8 speakers and only 2 work Customer service was below average The waiter served our food and shakes without saying a word. Not even a smile or greeting or any form of acknowledgement. Really cheap and worn out atmosphere No toilets

I ordered 2 milkshakes and 2 burgers’ £25 we ordered the food and then moved tables which we completely understand is our fault, we forgot about the table number needing to be changed. We realised that we had moved tables when we saw our milkshakes go past so we went to queue up to let them know the milkshakes were ours as by this point they had taken back the milkshakes. Whilst in the queue they brought out the milkshakes again so we left the queue and walked over I waved directly at the staff member holding the drink and she turned away from me and gave 2 girls at another table our milkshakes. I then went back to the counter to make sure the same thing didn’t happen to our burgers. I told them what had happened and the man at the till was so rude asif he looked down on us. He then told us our milkshakes had been delivered 3 times which wasn’t true as the first staff member went out with them looking around before we had realised they were ours then he took them back and a lady came out with them and gave them straight to the girls who were both shaking their heads telling the staff it wasn’t theirs. We were then told by the man at the till that we couldn’t have our milkshakes because they had already been given to someone which is not our problem as they took the burgers back and kept them to the side so why couldn’t they take the milkshakes back and keep them to the side? I would understand if someone took the drinks and lied about them being theirs however both the girls at the table shook their head and said that it wasn’t theirs. I ended up walking our due to the way the man at the till was speaking to me. As a young girl I think a grown man talking to teenagers who made an honest mistake about table numbers is...

If you're considering ordering from Archies Restaurant, let me save you the trouble and the heartache. This place takes the concept of "dining experience" and flings it into the abyss of culinary nightmares.

Delivery: Forget about timely service; Archies holds the dubious honor of having the worst delivery in Manchester and, frankly, in any city in the UK where they dare to operate. Their drivers are consistently over two hours late.

Food Quality: When your food finally arrives, if you can even call it that, it's a travesty. Soggy, dry, and cold - each dish seems to have been left languishing on a counter for hours before embarking on its journey through the cold and rain with bike delivery drivers. The lack of care in packaging is evident; the food arrives as if it's been through a food apocalypse.

Customer Service: The staff at Archies seem to have been trained in the school of "How to Alienate Customers 101." They are not just unhelpful; they're downright disrespectful. Ask for a refund after receiving such a travesty of a meal, and you'll be met with smugness that would make you think you were the one at fault.

Additional Insults: Don't expect basic amenities like ketchup or mayo - they're stingier than a miser on Christmas Eve. And forget about tissues; you’ll be wiping your hands on your shirt after this ordeal.

Archies isn't just bad; it's an affront to the very concept of food service. Customers pay for fresh, enjoyable food, not for smug behavior served with a side of cold, soggy remnants of what might have once been a meal. Avoid this place like you would a plague unless you're in the mood for a culinary catastrophe. Total fail.

Ps. Their melted cheese on top of the chips tastes like...
