Dining Experience @ Christmas Markets. . Operating only in the months of November to December, I was fortunate to be in town when the Christmas Markets were open. . Spread across 9 sites around the city centre, the Manchester Christmas Markets bring all the sights, sounds, and smells of festiveness. . Located at the Cathedral Gardens, the Warm Up At The Winter Bar is a cozy pop-up bar with festive Christmas drinks. . The Cocktail Mulled Wine (GBP £6.50) features a warm medium-thin beverage with fruity sweet sour earthy spice honeyed boozy flavour. This tipple feels and tastes festive, warms the body and soul, and I had great fun exploring the Christmas markets while slowly sipping this. . The Yorkshire Pudding Wraps Pop-Up is a welcoming pop-up stall specialising in a modern handheld treat. The open kitchen and piping hot food catches the eye, while the lovely aroma of grilling draws you in. . The Yorkshire Pudding Wrap (GBP £10) is a hearty and substantial handheld meal. This features a large chewy soft yorkshire pudding, stuffed with tender carrots, juicy peas, chunky pulled beef, soft roasted potatoes, and grainy horseradish and yoghurt spread. . Bite into the warm roll, and you get a burst of bready savoury meaty salty vegetal earthy starchy sweet spice milky flavour. Slightly messy but overall manageable.

Cathedral Gardens covers an area surrounded by an array of buildings very old and very modern. There's some bars and eateries and then there's The Cathedral, Chethams school of music, Victoria Station, The National Football Museum and the old Corn Exchange. You can go in The Cathedral though if taking pictures you are asked to give a donation. There are tours around Chethams usually hourly during the weekdays, as it's one of the oldest buildings and I believe Libraries in Manchester but it's still a School so there's rules and regs you have to adhere to. Victoria Station has good rail links to the rest of the country and the Metrolink (Tram) has good links to the City Centre and Greater Manchester in general. There's good access to The Print Printworks entertainment complex, The Arndale Centre and Exchange Square. There have been assaults and muggings on the Gardens (though I've never had a problem) which is why I've only given four stars.

These were great apartments. Large and airy with everything you need for your stay. Very clean and easy access able to all with plenty of space for 6 people. Close to the busy railway line going into Victoria but soundproofing in the place and triple glazing made it very quiet. Staff were very helpful and did what they could to help if needed and very reasonably priced for you get. A great location in easy reach of all Manchester main attractions and very to close to local transport links. Would recommend this to families of all ages or simply couples wanting a bit more space.

Hard to review a patch of grass next to the footie museum...but it held the food festival today. Lots of interesting stalls from Eritrean to Brazil etc. Two real ale bars. Had a good time. OK prices. Deposits on plastic pint pots but not plastic wine glasses. A few years ago the SS litter patrol fined a friends daughter for..taking a selfie! ...They stood up to take the pic and left their Coke can unattended for 30 secs.

Cathedral Gardens is a hidden gem in the heart of the city. The beautifully landscaped park provides a peaceful oasis amidst the urban hustle and bustle. It's a great spot for a leisurely stroll, a picnic, or simply to enjoy the serene atmosphere. The view of the cathedral is breathtaking, and the well-maintained gardens make it a perfect place to unwind. I highly recommend visiting this charming park!

A great little spot that is perfect for a getaway from the hussle and bustle of city life. It’s open and bright in the day time, yet quiet in the late evenings but still busy enough to feel safe. It has a beautiful water feature which is runs down to an open water hole. I’d definitely recommend bringing lunch or even a quiet smoke with friends here to take in the scenery.
