We live near Long Boi's and it's hard to not want to visit them every day Thurs-Sat! Their sweet and savoury produce tastes delicious and there is always something new to try - a favourite of ours is the Marmite and Cheese swirls! The staff there are always super friendly and welcoming. We had 4 types of their individual cakes at our wedding - Victoria Sponge (ve), Orange and Almond Torte, Lemon and Ricotta mini loaves (my absolute favourite!) and Salted Caramel Brownies, which I didn't get to taste and they were the first to go! Everyone commented on how delicious they were, and they were very nicely decorated. We've frozen some of the leftovers for our first anniversary, although I am very tempted to defrost and devour now! On the lead up to the wedding, Jenny was very helpful and communication was brilliant. We've also recommended them to our family, who bought a large cake for an 18th birthday - this also went down a treat! Would...

I’m just here for a quick loaf, not to wait behind hipsters debating if their oat milk was hand-churned by artisanal goats or if the flour was blessed by a local druid. The atmosphere (3/5) is buzzing but feels like a sardine tin, with that narrow door turning the place into a baguette-sized choke point. In Europe, where quality baked goods are basically a religion, they’ve mastered the process to keep the flow smooth. Long Boi, take a cue and give us bread-lovers a fast track! I’d kill to grab that epic food without the saga of a...
Read moreThe best thing to happen to south Manchester since I arrived 😅. The cakes and pastries are amongst the best in the world and the staff are the friendliest and most helpful around. There are not many places like Long Bois and the queues and regular sell outs show how amazing they are.
TOP TIP: If you want a specific item. Get down early. A small independent business needs your support so if you miss out on one thing, grab something else and try again next time. (I’m still sad I missed out on the pickle bois pre xmas but had so many other delicious treats).
Well worth the journey to...
