Going to Nandos is just such an un-enjoyable experience. You queue up for 45 minutes with screaming kids, and you have to stand because there's no seats in the waiting area left. It's about 40 degrees and sweaty and noisy. You get your table and it's so sticky like it's not been cleaned in years. Then you have to go order your food which involves another 20 minute queue and they have the cheek to put a 'Tips' box in front of you. Here's a tip Nandos - since you charge £10 for a dry chicken burger and chips, how about you wait on your tables? And it's the Ryanair of restaurants; everything is extra. Want cheese with that? That's more. Want salt on your chips? That's more. Want a poxy piece of pineapple? You've guessed it. After the painful ordering/paying procedure you have to go wait again for your food to be brought to your sticky table. Yeah, so you get the ordering style of McDonald's without the instant food. Of course this is after you've gone and collected your knives and forks from the canteen area and reminiscence about the last dining experience you had like this - probably some time in the 1990s in your grotty school canteen. Your food's shoved on the table whilst you have an incomprehensible chat with with your partner over the racket of screaming toddlers and other such pleasant sounds. I don't know, I just don't get it. And it's an expensive...
Read moreWorst ever experience. I attended the restaurant along with my family to dine in. We ordered the food and after long wait when enquired about our order, we were then quickly served cold food which was not properly cooked. It might be from an order that was we returned or cancelled by other customer. When I complained to staff at till, she sent couple of staff members who took the food back with an assurance that they would bring hot food. But when 50 minutes passed, food was not served, and a guy came to clean our table, we asked him as to when our food would be served? He then spoke to the staff members in kitchen area but with no avail. I also lodged verbal complaint at the counter. Subsequently, a male staff member probably the manager arrived and said sorry that they missed us. He said that they could make and serve hot food or I could get my money refunded which I preferred and took my money back. It was an unpleasant and disgusting experience. The Nando’s staff not only wasted our time, but also spoiled our day. It was poor customer service. The staff members were busy in chit chat with each other and three of the staff members were eating on a table when customers were waiting for their orders. Never seen such a poor service...
Read moreThis place doesn’t even deserve one star, I’ve been going for years and years and today I had the worst customer service ever, they are very petty waitresses. I understand it when it’s a busy and understaffed but that does not mean u lie and mock ur customer about. After I complained twice they made my order and left it there I waited 40 minutes then I asked some guy with dreads to see how long it’ll be wandered off for 10 minutes and came back saying ‘it’s on the grill just now’ so I told him alright that’s fine I’m gonna cancel my order since I have somewhere to be and he said ‘ok I’ll go grab ur food now’ my food had been ready for over 40 minutes and they just left it n wandered off each time I would ask someone. Some girls saying to me the card machine doesn’t work when someone else had just taken my order on the card machine a few minutes before. Spoke to the manager about everything in the end she didn’t do much, as I left I turned around heard her say something wasn’t too sure what it was but she started laughing immediately after I told her ‘it’s fine don’t worry about it have a good day’. She said she was gonna give me a voucher which she hadn’t...
