Oswestry Takeaway — Restaurant in Manchester

I’d first heard of HOW on social media, and when they posted they were planning and all you can eat Wingz night, we just had to give it a try. The night started with a very warm welcome by the team and showed us to our table. The staff were incredibly friendly and were hot on the ball to get our drinks order. It was amazing that we could actually see out cocktails being made right in front of us!

One of HOW’s incredible Chef’s came out to welcome us and talk us through our spiciness preferences. From there he went into the kitchen to concoct some delicious Wingz. When the food was presented we were guided to what the different flavours were from the large platter in front of us. Wow. What can I say. The first bite had my taste buds tingling. Once we cleared the platter off, we were then offered the chance to try some new flavours the Chef was experimenting with. Well, who knew honey and soya sauce and chicken wings would all come together so well!

I don't get this place...what is it? HOW ?, Liar Liar ? It's confusing.. Café ? Smokehouse ? Burger Bar ? Seems to be trying to do two different things but I'm not sure what. We called in during the week for some lunch, I assumed they'd do a burger or something. As we walked in it seemed more geared up as a cafe, (maybe the main restaurant is up stairs, we asked if we could go up) up stairs was just empty tables, we sat there like a coupe of spare parts for 5 mins or so with no menu to look at, and no service, the only thing that was drawn to our attention was how grubby and dirty everything was, inc the dead flowers ....so we left. Seems most of the reviews are of an evening experience, questionable if they'd fare as well given the cold...

If you’ve not tried house of Wingz or house of burgz yet, then why haven’t you? You won’t be disappointed. It’s been awesome seeing these lads grow their business. When you support local and the product is worth raving about it’s even better when they do well. All the staff go over the above to make sure you leave happy. The flavours are brillant and menu choices stand out. Due to another lockdown birthday I arranged for a house of Wingz garden gathering and they've not converted my mates now too. Second City has been great but can’t wait for the restaurant to opens Get a slice of the action so you can tell your grandkids you had original house of Wingz before they take over the country.
