We went to Ambers having booked for a Saturday evening. On arrival it was busy which is a great sign and we were shown to our table. It's a nice intimate space and we were looking forward to our food. Unfortunately we were obviously sat in the sweep of the air conditioning unit which was giving an unpleasantly cold draught. I was wearing a cardigan over the top of long sleeves and was still cold. There was a group of young women with no sleeves but they were out of the sweep! I asked the waitress would it be possible just to change the temperature or stop the sweep as it was cold to which she sarcastically replied "It's hot, it's not cold'. The people on the table adjacent to us both had sweatshirts on....so maybe working it was warm but sitting it was cold. I was a little taken back by her snappy response and said nothing more. We ordered our food and the waitress then made a show of holding the remote for the air conditioner and stopping the sweep. As she put it down she said ' it's so hot' angrily and swept back past us. I felt very uncomfortable with her attitude but said nothing more. We ordered the garlic pesto bread tear and share which arrived looking amazing. It was lovely but disappointingly neither of us could taste the garlic as the pesto was strong. However, the dough was beautiful and the balsamic a nice addition. Our pizzas then arrived and looked great with puffy edges. I had ordered the goats cheese with red onion. Sadly the whole of the middle of my pizza was wet and although the taste was ok the texture was soggy. My husband had chosen a different one which was better but still wet. I ate it as I was starving and to be honest, I didn't want to say anything to the waitress as it was clear what kind of response I would have had. We had some fries between us and to be honest those are expensive for what you get but they were tasty. We didn't have dessert and chose to go elsewhere for that. Maybe we just caught it wrong but with this experience we won't be going back, it was disappointing for the...

@ambers.pizza is hands down one of the best spots in town. From the moment you walk in, you’re hit with warm & welcoming vibes. The atmosphere is relaxed, making it perfect whether you’re out with family, catching up with friends, or just craving some seriously good pizza.
⭐️5/5 Recommended👍🏻 Price 💸💸
The menu is full of authentic Neapolitan goodness, think beautifully blistered crusts, rich tomato sauce, and fresh, high-quality toppings. Their Margherita is a simple classic, but the creative topping combos on the rest of the menu are just as impressive.
We chose the pea and pancetta special, Capricciosa with prosciutto ham and pepperoni - all were delicious.
To add to the great food the Ambers team is super friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. If you are visiting Oswestry we highly recommend you visit!

Read moreSo, after the raving review my parents made about this place it was time to visit on our monthly trip to visit them (being my parents) in Wales. We booked a table for a Saturday evening and arrived a little early in which we were sat straight away a pleasant surprise. After a warm welcome from the front of house team we settled into a booth to peruse the menu. A glass of rose and a farmhouse pizza later a I was throughly satisfied, my parents happy as usual with the food and service were beaming and my husband and sister were equally happy with everything. The service was timely and friendly and food was amazing and it’s sage to say we will have a table booked for each of our visits. Massive compliments to the chef and a huge thank you to the service team. Cannot recommend...
