The Food Box — Restaurant in Manchester

So the owner has come back with a response even though the first thing I said in my review states I couldn't flaw the food it was actually nice I felt I got ripped off !

Yes lad it's 2016 almost 2017 and your still ripping people off! Yes absolutely I should have kicked up a fuss there and then when you were making sums on the top of your head and fleecing me but I stayed quiet because of the fact that the big guy seems to be very intimidating! Any how because of ur response i have reported you to Manchester City council and hopefully you get caught in the act , having your own brothers off shame on you and shame on you for your lame response and shame on you if you ever get caught and ur mug is printed in the local paper! Talk about Sunnah and the way we are supposed to behave!

To the people reading have a look at my reviews and decide on my contribution we are paying customers and these vendors shouldn't be allowed to getaway with things like this

Just look at these lots response if they haven't deleted it by now saying how this is a fake account etc! If it's been removed have a look at the picture section you should find it there!

Cannot flaw the food but the big guy behind the till with the massive beard has serious attitude problem! Plus it's beyond me how he makes up figures in his head when charging customers for their food! I am sure I have been ripped off the last time I went here buying a meal for four which cost £130 for regular burgers and his so called melt in your mouth lamb shred which is sadly not in the menu so I believe he charges people what he feels like! Will not come here again! And I hope the business gets vetted by the local authorities shouldn't be allowed to have hard working people...

Went to this place. The guy scammed us over. Charged us extra £30 for a "service charge" and "veg" which was apparently an extra side we had ordered! No sign of this service fee what so ever. In fact we had to sit in the freezing cold with the door wide open. Brilliant service(!) When questioning the guy after paying the bill. He got very defensive and aggressive and just kept talking. Clearly told him I wanted two free sides he then added on the veg and tried charging me for a pepper? lol Where the hell is the veg on the photo taken? He classes a single pepper as veg. The guy is a brain dead moron. Prior to this he was badmouthing other customers has zero respect. Iv added a photo and I'm still trying to find the veg that they had charged us extra for. After leaving the owner then came out to the car saying I have over charged you by £5. When it fact he had ripped us off by charging us £90 for an £50 scran. Absolute day light robbery and to top it off this was in the month of Ramadhan when we had travelled over an hour to try this place out. Absolute bunch of thieves. No customer service skills what so ever. No doubt we will get a reply full of lies. The guys got a beard touching his toes and feels the need to lie and steal from customers. The guy is shameless worst than a thief off...

Terrible customer service! I would never recommend anyone to go here even if the food might be good. I planned to go here with some friends and family thinking of the place to be a little different from other places I've visited, firstly it's a tiny takeway-type shop (not a restaurant) and when we called up to book a table we were told they are a "normal" restaurant where it's first come first served! And the tone over the phone was disrespectful! Once we turned up and asked about seating arrangement as the downstairs seats that we could see would not be enough for us, again we were greeted with terrible customer service and a harsh tone! Anyway, if you want good customer service, this is not the place for you.

By downstairs, I meant the front part of the shop which is quite small. We went after having seen pictures online which shows another space at the shop which could be at the back or upstairs.

This review is actually not of the food at all. Just about the attitude as that drove us away before we even sat down.

Maybe the owner should invest some time and money on customer service training.
