First time at Yara Chorlton. We checked out the menu before going to have a rough idea of what to expect & prices. We went on a Sunday which it was quiet, but that's how we like it. The location was decorated lovely & the atmosphere was nice whilst enjoying the background music. The staff were lovely who greeted us & served us. No complaints. Warm & friendly. The food was absolutely amazing. Each course was just wonderful, with everyone enjoying what they ordered. We could not find a fault. Everything was cooked to perfection, seasoned beautifully. We are super happy with our visit and we definitely think we have found our new favourite restaurant. Cannot wait to return to try out other items on the menu. I booked online which was easy to do.
Cons- i personally wasn't keen on the arabic coffee, but that's my own taste not the product itself as others enjoyed it. And maybe the bathroom tiles need a little care.
Second review: sept 2025. We revisited again recently. We ordered some new items on the menu this time & once again could not fault it. All of us enjoyed what we had ordered. The only little thing was that one of the mains (chicken sultan-i think it was called), doesn't come with any sides. Luckily we had order extra chips without knowing this. Food was lovely & yummy. No complaints. Service was once again welcoming,...
Read moreOne the 9th May I went back for this great experience on my Birthday. It did not disappoint. Unfortunately I have lost the names if the staff. But they were a young man with a beard and a tall young woman. Overall, the food was lovely and service was attentive but not overbearing. They accommodated us very well especially as we had brought a board game. I am reviewing the Yara Restaurant in Chorlton, Manchester.
I have been to this outlet twice in fairly quick succession and have been impressed with the standard of service and food It is the same menu as the Altrincham one and I assume the other ones. The food is delicious and flavoursome. The service is nowhere near the Altrincham standard. The staff in Chorlton do not give you an overbearing feel and do not rush you out of the restaurant. One time in the Altrincham one a waiter stood at the table waiting for the bill payment when we were not ready.
A fantastic meal at Chorlton, thank you Aida and Sisi. You were the exact opposite of...
Read moreWe had eaten at this restaurant a while ago and it was amazing so it seemed a safe choice for as mid week takeaway.
How wrong was I!!! The lamb in pastry starter was pleasant but sad looking. Stuffed on top of each other in a plain white plastic foam box. Ok, not terrible.
The dip was ok. Not outstanding. I've had much better.
The mains were barely edible. The mixed kebab was really dry and super chewy. The lamb section had just a strong, odd smell and flavour I opted to not finish.....just in case.
The minced chicken in tomato again was super dry, unflavoured and pretty bland. The minced chicken felt like it dissolved in a really unpleasant manner.
The rice was fine. It's white rice, how hard is it.
The pitas did not seem fresh.
Overall a disgusting meal for over £40. I don't know if it was this terrible when it left the restaurant or if an extra 30 mins in delivery ruined it. Either way definitely...
