Our first time visiting the newly opened Chorlton Cheesemongers and we were really impressed!

We asked the cheesemonger to advise us on what would be a good selection for a cheeseboard and found his advice very helpful. He spent a lot of time talking through the cheeses and gave us some samples. All of cheeses that we got tasted amazing!! It was probably the best cheeseboard selection we’ve ever had.

Good range of British cheeses. Very expensive, even compared to other similarly sized specialist cheese shops such as Cheese Hamlet in Didsbury, which also sells products from small independent cheesemakers and producers who work in ethical and sustainable ways. The cost difference is noticeable. While I appreciate the quality and the support for ethical practices, it would be great to see prices that are more competitive with other artisan or...

This brilliant little cheese shop has been there three years, and how I have only just got to visiting is beyond me.

Really welcoming, attentive and knowledgable service, and a beautifully considered collection of British and Irish cheeses, with the odd European thrown in too. They also sell organic Jersey milk (fill your own bottle), yogurts and curds too which I found super interesting.
