I went to this branch of Costa coffee today and left before ordering.
My wife and I were wearing our masks stood at least 2m from the guy in front of us, who was ordering. Unfortunately, an eagle eyed member of the Costa Covid Police spotted a chance to demonstrate her incredible power and lack of customer skills. We were told to stand on a round sticker on the floor approximately 5m away from the guy who was being served and everyone else in the socially distanced queue was asked to wait outside. Read moreThis Costa is the dirtiest coffee shop / cafe I've ever visited. I had some sympathy for the staff as the woman serving was supported by a young lad who she was trying to direct but he was clearly a bit lazy. Every fabric seat I looked at was stained. There was a fair collection of used take out and crockery around the place and a lot of plastic and napkins on the floor. I was here about 1 hour and there were several people using the nearby shops who just popped in to use the toilet facilities. Face masks on with myself, my mother and son waiting in a socially distanced line. Until a women (couldnt see her name tag but black hair tied back, glasses (face looked like a bulldog chewing a wasp) to tell us RUDELY to move and step on the sign on the floor to wait next to be served. Funny how she never told anyone else to step there until we walked in.
Other than that horrible women . Tracey who did serve us was very lovely and polite...that certain member of staff wants to learn...
