McDonald's — Restaurant in Melton

Absolutely disgraceful meal today at melton Mowbray McDonalds. I thought I'd take some of my closest friends out for lunch (my treat), but I was left with a bitter taste in my mouth from the food and the service. Firstly, my meal took 8 minutes to arrive. This is far below the standard of service at McDonalds that I have come to know. Peterborough McDonalds have my delicious meal ready with in what feels like seconds. When I finally got my food (after almost dying from hunger), my chips were stone cold. I was absolutely disgusted with this, my jaw dropped to the floor in disbelief. I almost vomited from shock. After I received my "chips" (if you could even call them that), I requested two ketchups from what I thought might have been an attentive young member of staff. Upon receiving my sauces, I realised one was barbeque. I was again disgusted by this, I am allergic to barbeques and cannot eat anything from a barbeque, so to give me barbeque sauce is essentially just like trying to murder me. By this point I could not take it any longer. Me and my friends sat down to eat but unfortunately even now my chicken legend was ruined because I'd been crying on it. I can't blame the staff for the soggyness of the legend but I can blame them for my tears.

So help me god I will never come back to this McDonalds. Truly the worst...

I tried to be as fair and honest as possible in all my comments. Recently, I visited McDonald’s in Melton Mowbury. After ordering my lunch, I noticed a staff member walking around with their phone to their head, serving food. I understand that you need to make phone calls while working, but it’s concerning that she doesn’t wear gloves. Her phone has been everywhere all day, and she’s just standing there, switching hands and touching burgers or whatever she’s making. I thought it was quite disgusting.

I reported this to management their response were we don’t wear gloves because we are meant to wash our hands every 30 minutes,

I’ve worked in the fast food industry before, and I recall that handwashing is mandatory. However, wearing enough gloves is also important. You’re supposed to wash your hands every time you touch different types of food or leave...

There was a customer, a rude one at that, very clearly shouted, “I’m right here!” And “I said it nicely.” Then proceeds to smile at everyone. Clearly he wasn’t, told the manager how unprofessional the staff acted, now, I’m not putting the stars for that reason, it was how the manager handled it. After that the rude customer had left, I watched the manager be very unreasonable to their staff because of the customer, the staff handle it well, it was very busy, I can understand the pressure on everyone but telling off staff where customers are, shouldn’t be in front of everyone, a lot of people heard it. It was uncomfortable, ironically, that’s unprofessional and should be dealt with taking the staff aside. Then talk to them as they should be. It comes a long way to be nice, I’ve been in it, everyone has. Either way, I hope this can help...
