OK, so here goes. I stumbled on this place after a nice walk in Shirley Park. My wife noticed the halal sign, so she went in. I followed, and she was looking at the menu. Being a bit tight, I was like how much as used to getting food just down the road. The food was ordered, and we sat down. Ordered mixed chicken and lamb with chips fried halloumi as a side, and my wife ordered a lamb kebab. The food arrived within 5 mins. The presentation is awesome and delightful. Started to eat, thinking this is not much have I been ripped off. Started eating, mmmm the taste, and the quality wow very, very tasty. Finished exactly half and was full. Wife eat half her kebab she was full. It's a hidden gem. Full value for money. Taste 10 out of 10. Service friendly. Vibe. Chilled. But I have to stress that food was beyond on point. Definitely will come again. Thank you, the owners, for bringing this culinary delight to shirley High Street just next to the park entrance. Forgot to add the drink bit pricey 4.00. But it's worth it. The flavours were dense and refreshing, and you could taste all the...
Read moreFriendly staff and delicious food, I enjoyed a chicken shawarma kebab with sumac fries, my dining companion enjoyed hummus and pitta as she has a sensitive stomach and didn't want to risk spices.
She enjoyed her bland snack almost as much as I enjoyed my kebab.
There wasn't a bathroom, my companion went to the nearest pub, I advise paying a visit before meeting at Cleopatra's.
There is a step to enter, but staff are happy to collect the order from the door if the step is a barrier (I was able to wheelie my castors up and then pull myself and my chair up and in using the door frame, but it wasn't an easy manoeuvre)
There is seating inside and outside, fresh juices and soft drinks but they don't sell coffee (another customer asked while I was there)
The menu has lots of choice and includes traditional desserts
Parking on the street outside is free for an hour, only 60p for 1.5 to 2 hours (June 2025) and close enough for wobbly wanderers to access using...
Read moreMy friend and I were shopping in Mell square. We spotted the Taste Collective and decided to stop for a late lunch.
After looking through the options, which did all look great, we chose to order from Cleopatra's kitchen. Their menu and the design of their frontage really drew us in. We were not dissapointed!!!!
We ordered two 'pyramid bowls', houmus and flatbread, and grilled halloumi to share. Having both ordered the mix (lamb, chicken) we knew straight away we'd made the right choice. The bowls came pilled to the brim with succulent lamb and chicken, lavished with parsley, onion, pickled cabbage and an array of sauces.
The halloumi, grilled to perfection on a salad finished off with pomegranate molasses is a must have when ordering from Cleopatra's.
I don't know where they get their bread from but it's absolutely unbelievable with their addictive tahini houmus.
All in all it was an amazing experience and we will be going back to try...
