Took my wife for our 21 anniversary dinner, we have been regularly dining at the Hagley road location and a couple of times in Shirley. It is my favourite steakhouse, with the food always being amazing. Last night we had a wonderful experience, arrived at 19:30, sat at our table near the kitchen ( a great spot for food nosy me 😁) We got our drinks and ordered our meals within 5 minutes of being seated. 6 minutes later our starters arrived, my wife loves the Calamari and wasn’t disappointed, however my Beef Rib Croquettes were the star of the starters 😋 Both my wife and I commented to each other about the speed of the starters arrival, impressed but worried that we were going to be rushed through our meal ( we have experienced this a couple of times at other Birmingham restaurants and find this as disappointing as receiving bad food) so our table could be turned over. Our worries were completely unfounded and happily, we were left to enjoy a drink and a chat after finishing our delicious starters. After 30 minutes our steaks arrived, OMG! absolutely amazing, I had the sirloin, my wife had the fillet, both cooked perfectly to medium rare 👌 the rub and crust on the steak was delicious, the steak was tender, juicy and succulent, we had a fries between us because we love the garlicky flavour and an obligatory fried egg each for that true Argentinian experience 👍 Our main course was perfection, we scoffed the lot like locusts! We were then left to drink and chat for 20 minutes which we enjoyed, no one trying to rush us through as quickly as possible ❤️, due to our prime location we were able to watch many gorgeous desserts pass by, both quite full but just had to share a Churos to finish off a tremendous meal experience. We will definitely be back, great food, great service,...

I wish I could give a proper review of this place but unfortunately I wasn't given the opportunity.

Credit where credit is due though. The hostess was lovely. Very friendly and chatty whilst we waited for out table. She was also very apologetic when we left. Not her fault whatsoever though.

Alot of people had told me about this place and said food was great but service was slow. Not a problem for me so we booked a table. Obviously we had looked at the menu online before going and whilst it was mostly beef that was on offer there were a few alternatives.

Unfortunately, Fiesta del Asado have decided to run a reduced menu and not advertise this on their website. Sides and desserts were about half what was online. Everything that wasn't beef was removed from the steak section.

On an already soured experienced the thing that made us walk out was when the bottle of water we ordered was brought over at room temperature. Who drinks warm water? They wouldn't serve beer warm so I have no idea why they think it's acceptable with water.

We were just going to walk straight out but thought we would let the hostess know why. She was very apologetic and we did feel bad for her. None of this was her fault and there is probably nothing she can do to change it. Lazy staff not putting things in the fridge and lazy head office staff not updating their website.

We did think about going back when everything was back to normal but realised two things. 1. How would we know? They haven't put anything on their website about this so I highly doubt they would update to say their full menu is back. 2. We don't want to give money to people who just can't be bothered like this.

It's such a shame because the interior looks great and the interaction we had with the hostess...

I took my family to fiesta del asado shirley last night 7.30pm 27,August 2020. First meal out since end of March. All l can say is that if it were posible to give it a no star rating, I most certainly would. What an unbelievable and absolutely shocking experience. My wife and son orderd the fillet. Both only ate half. Not cooked as ordered, and very tough. Low quality meat. I ordered the so called brisket. When it arrived it was just a small bowl of what looked like square chunks of white fat.not brisket. Called the waiter to complain. He took it away after saying to me that it didn't look right. Left my fries on the table to go cold.Told me I would be getting another brisket. After waiting for about 5 minutes, watching my family struggling with thier so called fillets, my bowl of fat squares returned back. The same meal. Called the waiter to get me the manager. No manager on duty ?? Told the waiter to take it away, along with my cold and untouched fries. We had no deserts of coffee, just asked for the bill. The bill arrived for £110. I didn't think it was worth causing a scene, so I paid and left. Utterly disgraceful, and absolutely unforgivable. On returning home I sent them an email. No response. So I've spent 3 hours this morning contacting all my friends, work colleuges, business contact's, ect, informing them of this no star joke so called steak house. They will be sharing this information no...

From the moment we learnt that Fiesta Del Asado was coming to Shirley we had been excited to experience it. We have always enjoyed the Hagley Road restaurant and been many times. Well, what can I say, it hit the mark with everything; The restaurant looks amazing with an industrial look to it, a really buzzing atmosphere and gorgeous furniture. We was lucky enough to be seated at the raised booths which I will always ask for going forward. The service was great, the waiter was knowledgeable on all aspects of the menu and made great recommendations. Did not catch his name, but Greek man with glasses and a tiger tattoo. Top class, thank you. The food was very special. All perfectly cooked and presented well. On the waiters recommendation I had the Flat Iron Steak which was unbelievable. The rest of the table ordered diversely, with Lamb, Sirloin, most of the sides. All were really amazing. The wine list has been picked well to accompany the food and was top quality. And, the icing on the cake, was that they stock Nordes Gin. Not many places serve Nordes, but imo it’s the best Gin out there - try it, I’m not wrong. Fiesta Del Asado stands out amongst its neighbours on the Stratford Road and I hope will influence them to raise their game. Table for four with starters, mains and just two desserts, with loads of wine and Gin came to £300. You could say that’s expensive, but it was well worth it. We will be back soon!

The other weekend we visited Fiesta del Astado in Shirley to try out their new Sunday menu and cocktails. Fiesta del Asado is an Argentinian steak house serving a wide variety of small plates, meat dishes, desserts and cocktails. As soon as you enter Fiesta del Asado you are hit with amazing decor and friendly staff, in the Shirley branch there is a great buzz of guests enjoying a Sunday lunch, Argentinian style. - To start we had the Chistorra Sausage and Empanadas filled with Olive, Pepper, and Mushroom. For our mains we went for the Lamb Cutlets and the Bife Sirloin all served with popover pudding and an array of tender veg and potatoes. All the food was very well cooked, tasted great and very filling. I particularly like the Chistorra Sausage with heritage tomatoes. - Along with our food we had a range of drinks from cider to Amaretto cocktail and coconut rum, lychee shots. We had a great evening full of food, drink and a great talk with the head chef @chefs_r3public thanks for a great meal. - Our meal cost around £105 for 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 drinks and 6 shots. Even if you don’t go for a meal; the atmosphere, staff and cocktails are well worth a visit.
