Absolutely loved my visit to Shree Krishna Vada Pav (SKVP) in Shirley, Birmingham! As someone who has lived in Mumbai and tried countless Mumbai street food places, I must say SKVP truly stands out with its authentic taste and quality. I tried the Vada Pav and Pav Bhaji, both were simply awesome, bursting with the real flavours of Mumbai. It brought back so many memories of enjoying street food back home. A special thanks to Doreen and Amrita for their warm and attentive service. They made the experience even more enjoyable with their friendly attitude and professionalism. Highly recommended for anyone craving real Mumbai-style starters. Can’t wait to visit again

Simple decor adorned with graffiti of origin and growth of the chain. Vada pav is good but not excellent. Should be served freshly fried. Ours was heated in microwave. Nowhere near Mumbai's famed. Good for UK standards only. Most dishes were served luke warm including misal and ragda pattice. Pav bhaji was average. Spicy paneer Frankie was below average. Avoid all the beverages including cold and hot. Masala chai was syrupy and tasted like made of instant masala chai mix. Malabar coffee had very little coffee powder. If you wish to eat vada pav and couldn't be bothered to make it at home, visit.

We visit SKVP quite regular and they provide a wonderful customer service. Excellent zabardast Indian Street Food that tantalisingly leaves you with a feel that you are actually in India 🇮🇳 Juhu Beach Mumbai, site seeing in New Delhi, together with background music puttingbyiu in a Bollywood movie and Bhangra dancing to Diljit Dosanjh. The service today from Doreen was exceptional, she was helpful and served with a smile. Thank you very much and I wouod highly recommend SKVP to anyone to try and make a stop for top notch Indian Street Food. Thank you Sohan Kailey. Hare Krishna.

We ordered today and yesterday. On both days a different person delivered our food , than what it said on Uber, both were supposed to be girls , ended up being a shady looking guy each time in a different car.. Yesterday the bags were closed, today they were not, so when we got our food , 4 of our chutneys and a salad was missing , which meant we didn’t enjoy our meal as much , as they were needed with our meal. And also didn’t feel comfortable eating it , as it had been rummaged through. I called in , and was told , that they didn’t staple the bag today because it’s a safety issue , where the staple would fall in the food and they will be getting stickers soon to seal the bags. But you could have used tape? They said a different driver delivering our food , was not there problem , it’s an issue that we need to take up with Uber. However it is partially your fault, as you see the drivers profile when they come and pick up the food, why do you not check that’s it’s the right person? You shouldn’t give the person the food , if they are not the person on the system! And then you give them unsealed bags , so they can pick through our food! Will not be ordering again, as they don’t have care for...

Good atmosphere, feels like you sitting in a Mumbai canteen eating various street foods. The service was good and quick, the taste was not as authentic you would get in Mumbai but close enough and am glad atleast we have such eatery around. We had Misalv Pav, wada plate and gulab jamun icecream. It was good, the wadas for which they are famous for were nowhere close to the original taste you get in Mumbai. The misal was good spicy. Gulab jamun were warm soft and delicious. Had tried various other dishes like Dabeli in past and it tasted nice. The atmosphere is lovely, could do with an AC as in hotter days it can be very stuffy especially with all the spicy foods. The mango lassi and kokum sherbet was bit disappointing, we expected it to be freshly made but they just gave it in some commercial mini packed bottles with all the E numbers and preservatives. But overall a good experience if you like the street foods of Mumbai. Theres one small retail part in the restaurant itself where you can buy pickles chutneys and few other snacks to take away. Thank you for running such joint, glad to have found one in Midlands. Will be great if you could open one in and around startford...

This place is a small gem in Shirley Soilhull. The food is top notch, the design of the place is fun and lively, feels almost fast foody and in a way it is. The menu and theme is designed to be like Mumbai's street food which not all is actually fast food.

the food unlike mumbai is all freshly cooked and served in mumbai style paper foodware. Portions are just right, not to big and not too small with a price to match. they have many more modern ways to pay to from cash to online payment. on top of this they even have a small ingredient shop. i love the place that much that i will give it 5 stars.

highlights i have is good portion size friendly staff and helpful too. Great recommendation when i went surprise me.plus what i said above.

Downsides is was it was not diabete friendly with no sugar free drinks and food can be sweet. Also i had no idea what half the menu was, there was no visable menu with a description of what was what.

this might be due to Covid and menus was not placed out but i didnt have a clue.

overall enjoyment and...
