Overall not a very good experience. They have an online menu that has wrong prices. So pls watchout if you want to avoid their printed menu card for Covid safety, you are looking at wrong prices in their own website. Probably that is a strategy of theirs, i cant say. Anyway they arent very overpriced, so it should be ok for some, but i think it still doesnt justify publishing wrong/cheaper prices in the website. Toilets are not really clean. Avoid if you can. No sanitizers in the restaurant that the clients can/must use. We carried our own, so we didnt ask if they have. The not-very-friendly serving person doesnt instruct anyone to sit in safe distance. The diners can sit anywhere and the staff doesnt really care. i wonder they follow any covid standards at all. Food was just ok. Sambhar was too mild for my taste. No spice/heat at all, doesnt taste like Indian sambhar, probably more westernized for local customers, but then its not authentic sambhar. The restaurant furniture looks very run down and shabby. Plus there is no car...
Read moreWhilst other reviews might rate this place well, we found the experience to be an overall disappointment. The food was ok however much is left to be desired in regards to customer service and general hygiene of the restaurant. We caught a glimpse of the kitchen when doors swung open and it looked as though the Food Standards Agency had never seen this place. It looked so messy and almost put us off our food.
Half of our party dined in whilst the other half ordered takeaway. We had received our dine in order, ate it and even had time to pack leftovers - but our 2nd half of the party were still waiting for their food whilst being told several times, "just 5 mins, just 5 mins". Ultimately, they cancelled the order and left the restaurant in utmost disappointment.
The tables were sticky. The floor was slippery with grime. I speak truthfully when I say I had to wipe my feet on the pavement outside when we'd left.
Do not dine here folks unless its the last place on earth and you fancy a dosa as...
Read moreI visited this restaurant before covid time and now there is huge difference. Yes could see the authentic south indian flavours. The sambhar and chutney was really nice. The dosa was fresh, crispy and tasty. We ordered sambhar vadai, chilli grilled fish, chicken biriyani, mutton Kotha parotta… it was good. Chicken biriyani is kind of ok. Kothu parotta was not tasty as like as we had earlier. This means that the standard of food has little reduced. The dragon chicken was really amazing, fresh and mutton was tender and cooked to perfection on the mutton pepper fry. Do visit this omen if you are in this area. The only downside they did not have the card payment facility, it was cash only. Also parking is available nearby which is one hour free. Staff is much helpful and appreciate that. Best dishes I will suggest is.. mutton pepper fry, dragon chicken, chicken 65 and chill...
