Strawberry Fields — Restaurant in Metropolitan Borough of Solihull

We have always loved it here until very recently. We came on Saturday nights as a group celebrating a birthday arriving around 10pm. We didn't stay long! What has happened to that wonderful fun and brilliant bar?? Awful atmosphere, rude staff who were either drunk or worse and customers who we wouldn't dream of mixing with rowdy and on the edge of a fight! Not for us anymore. We have had brilliant nights there in the past, and are gutted at how it is now. Matt and Andrea wherever they are made that bar our favourite place, without them, like my other half said, it's just a shop that sells beer with banging hardcore dance music. Ugh . Tragic. I'm sure there are many others who must be doing the same as we didn't recognise anyone. How to kill a place in 5 minutes. And that's exactly how long we stayed. No way none of us will return. Worst bar I've ever been to. I applied for a job there in person, and went there with my friends my same night. As I was standing at the bar waiting to be served, the manager grabs me and tells me I have to leave. Obviously I'm a bit confused at this point and I ask him why, and he just says "I don't have to give you a reason, I don't want you in my bar". I've never been to this bar in my life, I had my ID and wasn't causing trouble. When I asked to speak to the manager again, the bartender told security and dragged me out of the bar. I was calm, wasn't swearing and was polite. The only reason I was given was, and I quote, "I don't want people like you in my bar". Whilst a very small space, this place was fairly nice. The music was a great mix and the customers were fun and friendly. It's just a shame one member of bar staff clearly did not like to see people enjoying themselves and actually went out of her way to put a stop to any such behaviour. Door staff were polite and courteous, the other two ladies on the bar were lovely, but we left early as the aforementioned member of bar staff just would not tolerate us having any sort of fun! We apologise profusely for daring to smile and laugh in front of this person and will never have the audacity to visit again and offend her with our presence. Luckily this was only our first stop...
