Waited a couple of minutes to be seated, and not the friendliest of welcomes. Sat on the smallest 2 seater in what felt like the busiest part of the restaurant. Ordered salt and chilli chicken big bowl with jasmine rice, and Grilled Lemongrass chicken big bowl. Plus a side of smothered chips(not sure thats the correct description) Both main dishes lacked any real taste with very little sauce/flavouring of the chicken. The salt and chilli chicken looked to me like chicken gujons, fried with the smallest amount of onion and chilli. The grillee lemongrass chicken tasted like dry chicken. I would question the authenticity of the food!
A dipping sauce was provided, but that wasn't the most flavoursome either. At £45 foe the food and a bottle of water, quite expensive too!
I came here a few months ago and the food was good, not sure if it's a new chef, or if they had a bad day or not, but it wasn't tasty to eat at all. We...
Read moreWill need to come back to try out the bowls. I wasn't able to order anything heavy due to a dance class I had scheduled.
What I did have was good. I ordered vegetable spring rolls, prawn bao bun and sweet potato fries. I thoroughly enjoyed the bao bun, the spring rolls were good until I got the off-putting taste of green peas (I'm not a fan of them), I sucked it up and ate it anyway trying to smother them in the chili dip to hide the taste. The sweet potato fries weren't tasty to me (I LOVE SP fries), I asked if for the (what I'm assuming is chipotle aioli) sauce from the bao bun to try with the fries and that was chefs kiss for me. Turn those drap fries into love. Overall the food was yummy and my mocktail was delicious.
