I ordered three coffees and the barista was having a bad day. He made me feel it. There was a long line so he was trying to serve everyone speedily but he was brusque to the point of curtness. I have a speech impairment so sometimes I have difficulty getting my words out but you would not notice if you did not know me. First, he did not acknowledge my order properly so I did not know if he had heard me say "skinny milk". He responded with a terse "I did listen!" in rather an unnecessary tone. He then immediately put chocolate on the three drinks and was quite offhand when I said that I did not want this. I tried to explain that I could accept one with chocolate but it was too late. Every single member of staff here really bounce off each other giving a friendly, fun and professional atmosphere. These type of staff are what many employees dream of, and really make this cafe stand out in the best way making the cafe so welcoming. The cafe is clean, organised and homely. After having some recommendations from a member of staff, we end up buying quite a few items, from the tosties, paninis, cake, sausage rolls, hot and cold drinks. Everything is up to the standard of cafe nero. I would say the cake was a little on the drier side compared to a freshly baked cake but was still delicious and would still recommend. Unlike many cafe neros I find this one the most pleasurable not only with the staff but even decor, as many other neros tend to be a bit crowded, dark and moody...
