Beech Hurst Gardens is managed by Mid Sussex District Council, the gardens were given to the town in 1950 by trustees of the former house that stood here. There's a restaurant, a cafe, kid’s playground, rock garden, wildflower meadow, picnic lawn, croquet lawn, bowling green, tennis courts, miniature railway and arboretum. The miniature railway has been here from May 1954, it was extended in 1974 and is now nearly half a mile, this opens at weekends during the summer. This is a great park and well worth the visit. Cafe wasn't to good only one lady serving who didn't have enough change and the card machine wasn't working so we had to try and get it sorted and by the time we purchased the items they had ran out of a 28C day.
Mini train was great around half a mile worth of track with a trains running every 5 mins. Nice gardens and a lot of space to play football or any other game.

Harvester on site near the front enterance but not intrusive. Small childrens playground which is well fenced for the little ones. Plenty of room for the children to run, play football and even fly a kite.
