My husband and I have eaten in the restaurant or had a takeaway three times in total. Eating in the restaurant was a fairly good experience, but the food from delivery has been mediocre.
The first food delivery was in December near Christmas in the aftermath of the snow so we were very lenient with slightly cold food a long wait time and also one of the main dishes being completely wrong.
We decided to have another delivery recently in milder weather and surprisingly, we had to wait over an hour for delivery and when it arrived it was luke warm food and missing side orders.
I called and relayed both issues from my current and previous order to the chap at the restaurant and was informed “it was too busy to send out the missing items” so, a refund was taken for the missing items. An offer of free sauces (worth around 60p) were offered with our future order.
I would have expected perhaps a reimbursement of at least one of our main courses and Nan breads. As that’s what had been missing. With a simple apology.
The food isn’t the best but is good value for its price - I would strongly suggest eating in their restaurant on one of their discount days and Do NOT order food for delivery. Sadly we won’t be going back. We would rather pay more and have delicious, correct, hot food than poor delivery times and being apprehensive about what items will be missing this time!...

The first thing you notice is the atmosphere, its a really well lit and decorated restaurant. Everyone from the people already eating there to the staff were all smiling and happy. Service is brilliant as well, very nice people and very quick to help. Food is the absolute highlight here though. I had a King Prawn Rogan and it was easily in my top 5 of Indian food I've had in life. A large award to give out to a random spot in a random UK town. We did start with the classic poppadom with the mango sides, which was also perfect. Rice and naan was great, no complaints but the curry I had itself stopped me from really wanting anything else. In general, the combination of a great spot, great staff and superb food make this a really great sort of "hidden" gem that I highly recommend.
Note: They don't have a license to serve alcohol. BUT, there is a cheap news agent across the street with a nice selection of cheap alcohol so I somewhat prefer the way its done and its a little charming. So, the restaurant is totally okay with you bringing in outside alcohol and encourage it, knowing British culture. The staff bring you glasses and a bottle...
Read moreWe went sunday lunch time for the off menu, eat as much as you'd like buffet. (we live approx 20miles away and were out for the day) this was an impromptu visit. Wow the food was the best I've tasted in an Indian restaurant for a very long time. I've an oil, butter and ghee intolerance and my meal was cooked to perfection. Hubby had 3 very large crisp bahgees, I had chicken tikka both served with salad, we then had chicken shashlik, a prawn madras, garlic rice, orkra and a light and fluffy garlic nan for our mains. M0y shashlik was fresh and cooked to perfection, hubbys madras was the best hes eaten for years ( he has at least a curry a week). Everything was perfection in our eyes. Negatives were very few and quite petty, youre charged extra for pompadoms and chutneys ( we should have read the menu, our fault). Also theres a 10% service charge added to the bill, but the service was impeccable so we would of actually left more. It was £25.90 plus £3 for hubbys prawns extra £6.60 for pompadoms and chutney. We will defo be back, perhaps in the evening. If you are in the area do your self a favour pop into this resturant you will not be...
