Costa Coffee - Haywards Heath 1 — Restaurant in Mid Sussex

Ordered 2 drinks and a snack which took far longer than they should have, while waiting I noticed several things which were just poor for a Sunday, such as the shop being very dirty and the staff being incompetent. For example, during my wait, I heard the server say to another customer "you cannot have a teapot for your drink, as we can't wash any up because we are understaffed". This was ridiculous as there were only 4 people in the queue at that time. Any competent team could have washed up the teapots etc, and cleaned while the other did drinks. Another thing I noticed was the attitude of the gentleman named Luke, who was making the drinks, swearing under his breath and complaining it didn't feel like a Sunday after another customer returned their food after saying it tasted sour and out of date. The icing on this cake being the drinks were of poor quality after waiting for 15 mins for them. Cannot recommend, I would advise any of the independent shops in this area as a better...

Nice store but it gets busy here and tables are not cleared so there’s not anywhere clean to sit once you have got your food and drinks. The disabled toilet should be locked under radar key but is left open for anyone to use - no wonder it’s absolutely rank and smelly. Went today and used the disabled toilet to find the pull cord for emergency use tied up - this isn’t acceptable it should be hanging free incase someone like me with a disability fell or needed emergency assistance. The queue is out the door sometimes.

I visited this Costa at 5:45pm on Saturday, the door was open and customers were sat inside so I believed the shop was open and still serving drinks. The advertised closing time on the door said 7pm. I stood in front of two male staff members at the counter who completely ignored me after looking at me several times, one continuing to just put a tray away in the back room, clearly more important than serving a customer or even acknowledging me.
