The Bay Tree — Restaurant in Mid Sussex

Hot soup directly placed Infront in a 2 year old (waitress of last weekend) and Passing hot drinks overheads (seen twice previously) is a big NO. Waitress of last weekend served food to clients outside and walked straight back inside, Another waitress did the same. Neither looked around to pickup the pile to dishes accumulated on a specific table. Most clients ( including me) cleared their own tables and piled the dirty dishes there. It so happened that other clients came to sit there. They had alto wait awhile for someone to clear up.

The people serving a lovely. They just need some training on how to serve food, clearing tables and cleaning tables quickly. Importantly they really need to understand hot food can burn and is a liability.

Food is on the pricy side...

Visited this place for a cuppa and a bite and it was not good at all. Bacon roll £5.25 I ordered one each for my mum and my self it came and it was literally water thin ham full of fat on a supermarket Bread roll I immediately took it back and got a full refund! How can they try to sell this as a bacon roll, the most bizarre thing was the server actually asked what bacon I wanted back bacon or streaky bacon? it was literally warmed up fatty sandwich...

I ordered milkshakes and noticed that the person who made them poured the leftover milkshak down the sink, which felt like such a waste!! I would have been happy to take it instead of wasting it. Lets aim to reduce food waste when food poverty exists around us.

Also, carrying a tray of milkshakes and coffees outside through a locked door is nearly impossible. It would be great if the staff could be a little more helpful and...
