Without doubt the best fish and chip shop in Burgess Hill. The fish is perfectly cooked, chips and other items on the menu that I've tried - excellent! Very highly recommended and the staff are friendly and helpful. If you want the best - this is the one for you! G It’s very rare that I update a review but last night (Good Friday) I had a fish and chip supper that has to be the best ever. I recently converted to haddock from cod at the start of 2023 and it has been delicious and perfectly cooked. But just as I thought it couldn’t be improved on the guys changed the source of their fish and it’s now even more tasty. Incredible with great chips. I have had a bad experience buying from this place. In total I have bought 3 times from this place and with every passing time I have felt that new problem is developing each time. The second time I bought I found their packaging of food too bad compared to first time. The third time I shopped there were multiple issues, packaging issue existed as earlier, the chips given werent fresh and crunchy and the non acceptance of card for payments less than 5 pounds. On top of this they fail to admit that they may have uodated policies as I have already shopped twice earlier for same order paying by card and they weren't ready to trust. Terrible atmosphere due to the miserable old man behind the counter shouting at the very friendly and polite young girl who served me.
